First of all, are you sure it's she? The number may not be the correct one. Also, we should remember that they are busy people and such calls may disturb them. Imagine yourself getting dozens of telemarketing calls when you are busy at work or studying for an exam...don't you get annoyed? Don't you express your displeasure at them?
I think this is a lesson for all of us. We shouldn't phone and disturb them. They may be receiving such calls from fans all the time and it will be annoying to them.
Making a planned visit is another thing. When someone visits the CID team, should show only respect and admiration. They should know that IF has some intelligent, sensible fans and not a bunch of silly, giggling girls.

I find the "call the police" part quite suspicious in particular. If that really was her and she said that, I imagine she was probably in a pretty disturbed mood or is being harassed by someone she mistook you for (it's hard for me to imagine that any upcoming actor will intentionally talk to their fans like that). I'll await strong evidence and multiple accounts before coming to any conclusions.

Hey Diya ,
Well Last night when I read this I did feel bad for you.But seriously saying I think Purbi must have been really annoyed with someone who is regularly irritating her...Otherwise I don't think She will talk like that ever. Now thats a warning for all those who get their number and planning to call them.I guess its good to contact the other crew members and then contacting the stars because they may not react the way we want it.
Actors surely are busy people they tend to work a lot.Even then some speak very nicely with their fans but they doesn't mean they will the same good mood everytime...
I do agree with Visrom'di that we do not know how many calls they get daily,if it was us surely we will get annoyed on getting so many calls...
And speaking of the truth I had the worst experience just when I called my friend on phone to ask a doubt,I was too nervous because I never called her on phone...So I cut the call and thought in mind what to say and then called again... I moment someone picked the phone I got the shiver when I got a big gaaali something like 'Kaun bol raha hai kuthey' I was like shocked 😲😲...
It will be interesting how Demonstar collects evidence
Then the parent realised that it was a girl and not boy, then they handed the phone to my friend...But I never ever did that mistake again and neither did I call this classmate again...
The only difference is that you got it from an actor and I got this from my own classmate...
Jo beeth gayi woh baath gayi...So just chill 😊

I'll be analyzing evidence after it's been collected. 😉 😆

A similar incident like the one you mentioned happened with me too - I mistakenly dialed one of my friends' landline when intending to call someone else, and his father (who is a very good person I'm on nice terms with) didn't recognize my voice and before I could identify myself, told me off so hard that I hastily disconnected the line. I hadn't done anything except ask if someone was in the house... he could've just said "wrong number", na? 😛 Later, I learned someone had been troubling my friend regarding project work, so I guess that's why the misunderstanding took place.

I reckon that's the most likely scenario here too, especially since the conversation didn't even move towards introductions from what has been said. In an emotional state like that, a person's ability to think rationally is highly diminished and mistakes happen, with everyone. If she had been composed and waited to know who Diya actually is, I don't think she'd have ever talked like that.

I understand it can be very upsetting to get such responses from our actors whom we admire on screen. That's actually one reason I have never tried to visit them inspite of being a regular Mumbai visitor. I don't want to catch them at the wrong moment, have a bad experience and lose my respect for those whom I have admired for several years.
Normally when someone from here calls them they call someone from the crew and if the actor is in a good mood, only then they hand over the phone to them. I don't think anyone has called the CID actors directly on their numbers. I think Padmpriya did call Daya sir...but I guess she had called a crew member before that. Also duo are probably more patient than Ansha.
Just forget it Diya...you might have caught Ansha at the wrong time. Respect their feelings - they are humans too, may have other things on mind and may not want to talk to strangers.

Perhaps she had just finished shooting for Friday's episode, and was sick of the chimpanzee discussions. 😉 😆

Hey Diya,
It must have been very off putting when you heard her speak that way.
I think she must have had a hectic time and must have been preparing for a shoot. Believe me acting is not done as easily as they look like. The mental mood to be brought on oneself takes time and one's energy. True acting be it for stage or for the screen is the same. Mental and emotional atmosphere has to be sharp and high for the character being undertaken plus not get so very involved in the character that it takes a long hangover like time to get out of it. One day shows take a minimum toll of 48 hours on any artist.Just imagine these people shoot for days together many a times without much break, not be bothered about crowds in an outdoor shoot , the harsh lights and then immediately change into your persona.

I admire the CID core team of actors who have been here for more than 13 years and still give it their best shot after shot. And they are expected to be all smiles to each and every phone and person who comes in front of them in the name of being popular. Aren't we expecting too much as fans.

But, it does hurt when one is at the receiving end. Like Demonstar, I too had experienced unheard of gaalis from my classmate when I had to call her and dictate an answer to her on the phone. She had minutes before called me and asked me to do it. Her brothers did it. I cut the call and later when they realised it, she was apologetic and told that some guy was following her since a week and giving blank calls whenever she was home.

So don't let this one experience dampen your enthusiasm to meet the wonderful people behind our favourite show.😊

Hmmm so you too had such an experience ..Demon star... Go on
with it anyway...
Hey I had another odd experience actually related to CID ...
Once I send friend request to Santhosh Shetty..He did accept my
request... But along with it the next day I saw a friend request of
one Mr.Parth Gagan... So Since I don't know him I thought of
rejecting the request like I do usually... But when I just enquired
with friends on IF that this person was an actor on CID...
Now that made me more confused... So since I didn't know what
to do.
I send him message after accepting his friend request saying that :
Thanks for adding me friend... But I don't know you personally .
..Except that you are from CID...Is it a mistake?... Please Reply...
The next day I got a message:
I realised that you didn't want me as friend...It was not a mistake...
Bye...God bless you.
It was quite odd for me... Why did he send request? Then he
himself deleted me from friend list 😕
I did feel bad but kisi anjaan aadmi ke friend's list mein hona aur
darr darr ke soney'se toh behtar tha ki usney khudh mujhe friends
list'se delete kar diya... As girls we have to be more careful at
times...
