The night before the engagement
Khushi walked towards the pool with a basket of flowers. Lavanya had asked her to help decorate the poolside with Lights and flowers so that after the engagement, LA & ASR could enjoy a romantic evening.
Even though it hurt KKG so much to think that after tomorrow, he would be someone else's forever, she knew she had to be strong and hide her tears, her pain..She just had to keep herself together till atleast after the engagement, then she would go home and let it all, everything out.. She had even decided that tomorrow after she went home she would break of hers and Shyam's engagement as she knew she would never be able to love him or accept him as her husband, hr true soul mate. An as tomorrow anyways, her heart was going to be wounded the most, Buaji's tauntsor anyone elses insensitive words would not be comparable to the pain of losing Him. How long would they keep on forcing her to marry Shyam, one day, 1 month, a year, forever?? Well, she had decided she would never marry anyone, if she couldn't marry the one she loved, what use was there to speak marriage vows for someone else she would never be able to accept?? No, she was not going to be forced any longer, and nobody's words would affect her. Tomorrow after the engagement she was going to be a strong Independent Woman. She knew that her babuji would be happy with whatever she did, he had always supported her..
Thinking about all this she knew that he too had strong feelings for her, but why, WHY did he not let them out??? Was it just her imagining he had feelings for her, she thought again..No, No it couldn't be... she knew deep in her heart that he felt exactly what she felt for him..he just did not or could not admit it ...
She knew that there was still this eve, he was not yet engaged yet..there was still hope.. But then hearing Lavanya's Laughter from somewhere outside and the happiness in La's voice, all her hopes were once again crashed again...
Arnav too was thinking about how he had hurt and tried to make KKG jealous this whole week. But she did not seem to be affected at all by any of this, his engagement..but then after seeing her tears on the price tag of the bridal dress, he knew exactly how affected she actually was..But why was she not telling him how she really felt about him, about THEM?? Why did she get engaged?? Why was she pretending that she was happy with her engagement when he could clearly make out from her face, her eyes, her tears?? He knew he was madly in love with her and could not lose her, he would question her about all this he could confess his love, everything..tonight the day before his engagement..
..but first he knew that he had to let LA go, He could no longer play the pretence of liking her anymore..He could not ruin her life...but more than that, her could not hurt KKG by letting her go through the pain of Him getting engaged to LA..
He made up his mind that he would tell LA that he cannot just go though with the engagement..he would tell her right away..
