Sleeping beauty Part 14
Anjali dressed Geet as a bride.
Like a curious kid who was dressing for the fancy dress competition Geet looked at her accessories.
"Anjali bhabhi..why did you dress me like this?Fancy dress competition is there? I will win the compeition".
"No Geet.Today is your wedding.Like Cinderella and sleeping beauty married a Prince you are also getting married to a Prince.Your Prince's ame is Maan".
Anjali said.
"Really?Am i getting married to a Prince?I'm so excited.So i will also be like the Princess of Fairy tales.Right?"
Geet was excited.
"Yes".
Anjali brought Geet to the mandap.Geet was still looking at her accessories.Maan was flattered by her beauty.
"Geet...look at your Prince Maan".
Anjali said.
She looked at him and smiled.
"Wow!My Prince Maan is handsome like Cinderella's Prince".
Maan smiled.
Anjali said,"Geet..now you should place the garland on your Prince's neck.He will also do that".
Geet was excited,"Ok ok.."
She placed the garland around Maan's neck.
He smiled.He also around the garland around her neck..
Maan held Geet's hand and took seven steps around the fire.
Anjali said,"Geet..now your Prince will put special red powder between the parting of your hair.So that others would know that you are his Princess".
Geet showed her head,"Prince Maan..be fast..put the red powder here".
Maan placed vermillion between the parting of the Geet's hair.
"Now Prince will place a chain on your neck",Anjali said.
Geet smiled.
Maan tied mangalsuthra around her neck.
Kavya and Geet became happy.
Maan reached the Khurana house with Geet.
Dadima became happy seeing them.
Raghunath shouted at them,
"You can't enter this house with Geet".
"Why dad?She is my wife",Maan asked.
"Wife?She killed my son Dev.I had read his suicide note".
"No dad.I told you many times.Dev did not do suicide.Geet is innocent".
"I won't believe it.Truth can't be changed Maan".
"You can't believe the truth.That's the truth".
"Another thing is that i don't want a mental patient as my daughter in law".
"Dad...you must not forget that you are responsible for Geet's present mental condition.You are the one who spread the rumor that Dev died because of Geet.One more thing..Geet is carrying Dev's child".
Raghunath and Dadima were shocked.
Geet looked at Maan innocently.
"Prince..what is happening here?I can't understand anything".
"Nothing Geet",Maan said.He looked at her with pity.
"Whatever you say i won't allow Geet to stay here.You throw her somewhere and come inside".
"I can't throw my wife.So I'm going away with her".
Raghunath was shocked.
Dadima wept.
"Please don't be so cruel.We lost Dev.Now losing Maan also is unbearable.Geet's baby belong to our family.I don't want to lose Dev's chhild also.Please..."
"Ok..you both can come inside.But i won't accept her as my daughter in law",Raghunath said.
Dadima received them with a lit lamp.
Maan's bedroom is decorated with flowers.Geet was excited.
"Wow!I love flowers".
She took the flowers and played with them.
"So nice..I love playing with flowers".
Maan watched it with a cute smile.
"Geet is so innocent".
She threw the petals on Maan.They both laughed.
Later Geet started yawning.
"Prince..I'm sleepy".
He cupped her face in his hands and said,"That is because you are a sleeping beauty".
She smiled,"Really?"
"Yes".
She rested her head on his lap.
Maan sang a lullaby
'Surmayee ankhiyon main nanha munna ek sapana de jaa re
nindiya ke udate paakhi re, ankhiyon maon aaja saathi re
raa rii raa ram o raaree ram..'{Sadma}.
Slowly Geet fell asleep.
