Abhishek or Shahid?

Even though the sequel to ONCE UPON A TIME IN MUMBAAI is yet to go on floors, the film has been making news ever since it was announced. While Akshay Kumar has been signed to enact the lead role, the face for the parallel lead is yet to be finalized. Initially, producer Ekta Kapoor and director Milan Luthria had approached Shahid Kapoor for the role in question. Later, it was said, the makers were in talks with Abhishek Bachchan for the said role.

"Only Akshay has been signed for the project," director Milan Luthria sets the record straight. But the makers did approach Shahid initially and Abhishek subsequently, right? "See, we will take a call [on the parallel lead] once we are through with THE DIRTY PICTURE. ONCE UPON A TIME IN MUMBAAI-2 is an ambitious project and the casting has to be right. Even the female lead is yet to be confirmed," Milan states.

Why is Abhishek- the box office repellent even in consideration? do they want to loose money?

Neither please! But if it has to be one of them it better be Shahid...it will be interesting to see him with another leading man. But Shahid I am sure will be wary of sharing screen space with Mr. Editor Akshay.

Wah... What choices... One with his eternally constipated expressions and the other with his eternal diva looks... Just chuck both of them and get Emraan Hashmi back...
