I think its abt your own choice, there might be no Perfect film..if they songs n script is good. then there might be some acting problem or something..kuch na kuch hota hai.but for some people they might dont look over this..if they really like some movies..then its perfect for them..just like my cousin😆

I think wake u- sid, chak de India, Amar Prem( recently watched it 1st tme) my goodness loved it..hmm i cant find any flaw in the movie & the songs are lovely

Everyone has different taste in movies...to me perfect movies was om shanti om, veer zaara, dhakhan, ek hasina thi, anjaam, hum dil de chuke sanam, Fashion... I love movies that have love story with traditional dance added Or if the movie doesn't have any songs than it must be about a woman kicking some major asses to fight for her right (EK Hasina Thi again)

Excellent post and point of discussion.

I do not agree with the majority of sentiments here that nothing is perfect. As Eraser mentioned it is a matter of perspective upon which I would add that it is about definitions. We do not live out our lives so much as upon our own terms but rather it is very much the case that we are caged in or freed by our own definitions of things.

My definition of the perfect film or any piece of art for that matter, music, pictures and books, is something that satisfies my soul's need at a given point in time. Sometimes I need an adrenalin rush, sometimes angst and sometimes a good cry. On other occasions I seek mindless humour to divert my attention for a while but only for a while since my soul is nourished by the substantial. Sometimes I want a film that reflects my own world view, sometimes I wish to be enlightened by the unknown truths of others and upon an occasion, though rarely, I wish to be scared by thoughts of people whom I would never wish to meet in real life, but I can not ignore their existence entirely.

On each of these occasions, if I find a film or piece of art that satisfies that need, then in that moment in time, it is perfect. The perfect film exists but only for a while. At all other times, it is very much debatable but such is life that nothing is out rightly owned by anything. In this way perfection is eternal and doesn't die with the objects it graces itself upon.

Feel free to whitewash.😃

With much love, Sabah

I think everyone has their own perception of a perfect film and we can be biased! But I do think some movies like 3 Idiots, Wake Up Sid, Guru, OSO were perfect for me.
