I think her brother is dead because of Rishi and her brother's last wish must be that rishi should help his family. Rishi must have decided to take care of them before giving the news. There was some movie like that, do not remember the name.

Yup even I think so... Bcoz he is definitely not her brother. In yesterdays scene when Indira tells him not to talk to her father inder, that time he is surprised & says "Toh yeh Indira ke pitaah hai" something. If he was her brother how wouldnt he not be knowing about who is his father?
