Pakistani people apparently boycotted Aishwarya Rai starrer 'Bride & Prejudice', which released recently in Pakistan.
The film opened in almost all big centers in Pakistan, but most of the centers withdrew the film half way due to low-key responses.
As per reports, peoples rejected Aishwarya Rai because in their eyes, the Bollywood queen is nothing but a very bad lady, who had 'back kicked' actor Salman Khan in love.
Qaiser Sanaullah, a member of the Cinema Management Association, said that the major reason why people had not come to watch the film was that Pakistanis sympathized with Salman Khan in his dispute with Aishwarya Rai.
"Salman Khan was a Muslim being troubled by 'the Hindu lobby' after he fell in love with Rai and was 'discarded' by her," Sanaullah added.
Though in India also 'Bride & Prejudice' hadn't fared very well, but it was expected to do pretty good in Pakistan, as it was the first Aishwarya starrer released in the country.
