CAN India ever make a Decent Superhero FLICK ?

After the debacle of Ra.one, I was actually thinking that Will we ever achieve making a GOOD superhero flick...i just dont understand why people swim in the pool of bad assumptions that superhero movies are just special effects...they can't have a great storyline...and its not important they have to be great blockbusters...they need to be just good movies...

for Example - if anyone saw 'Superman Returns' this is a great example of a great superhero movie which didn't make the cash registers ringing...but it was really impactful in terms of content...also the recently Released X-men first class was great...for the first i saw some characters not jerks or comic capers...this movie didn't become that ATBB...but still it was a good movie too...

So the question is...will be ever be able to make a decent superhero movie...without going overboard or making a joke out of it?

oh yes...i don't knw how many people seen that...but the only decent sci-fi flick has been alag..which also follows the same route...but it was far better than ra.one or krrish

Yes for sure but they should focus on the story not the special effect alone .we can make acomperesion between hollywood and bollywood in these genre for sure but bollywoos can make avery good film .Krrish sereis is great when we are talking about the first films in this genre but now they should make the effect much bigger and the story to be good .

I don't know I'm sure it is possible if you have a good director like Shanker. Robot might not be superhero movie but it was great movie for storytelling and special effect were great!

So I think a great director is important, and then of course the actors, sorry no offend to SRK I just don't see him in the superhero and flying around etc.. just like I don't see some actors in hollywood in superhero movie. Don't think the special effect matter much if the storyline is crap!!

Hope one day, hope to see a good superhero flick for sure Hrithik could do it!

It goes 50/50 for me.. both the makers and the audience needs to be interested or else no matter how good they make the flick its not destined to be a hit unless audience is willing to watch it...

So far only big stars have tried superhero movies as they involve lot of costs. But big star comes with lots of baggage. Most successful superhero Hollywood films had less known actors playing the lead who became famous after doing the superhero role. If India has to make a decent superhero film then the stars of the film should be less known or new actors and the story and direction should be good.
