Actresses face the brunt as please-the-paparazzi PR tactics go to ridiculous lengths

Film promotional events are thingly disguised photo ops for the paparazzi. And to grab enough eyeballs and more, actors are willing to push the boundaries of their comfort zone, dragging their female co-stars along with them. At a recent Desi Boyz event, Chitrangda Singh and Deepika Padukone, were lifted out of their comfort zones (literally) by thier male co-stars. This is however, not a first. At various events this year, actresses have been used as props or prep up the otherwise tepid show. Often at the cost of a wardrobe malfunction, or a really embarassing shot. Wonder why no one has put their foot down yet.

PICK AND THROW: At the promotional event for Desi Boyz, Akshay and John picked up Chitrangda and Deepika, twirled them and toyed with them much to Chitrangda's discomfort. As for Deepika, she can only take cover to avoid a wardrobe malfunction.

BACKSTREET BOYS: Lisa Haydon, visibly uncommfortable in her long slit gown tries to manage getting up without creating 'Marilyn Monroe moment' at the Rascals music launch event in September while her director and co-star leer unabashedly.

THE HUMAN CHAIR: Even the ever-willing Rakhi Sawant seems a tad awkward she she gets picked up by Mahakshay Chakraborty at an event for their film Loot to the delight of photographers.

PICK OF THE DAY: Ranbir Kapoor hauls co-actor Nargis Fakhri up and pretends to throw her in the crowd at the Rockstar music concert on November 1.
