I think she was shocked at the reception given to her by Arnav. Her hosh hi ud gayi. Then the senti dialogue of nani, Anjali, n La, the presents, HIS presence etc kicked pervertwaa's thoughts out of her mind, I guess.

One never wants to discuss about unwanted aspects of life .

Khushi is not happy with it and is afraid that her unhappness will be shown clearly while announcing something as aniticipated as one's engagement .

But she did want to tell ASR and that is the reason sh went to see him but he never gave her a chance .

Exactly what I think too - her engagement to the jerk is not important to her - and ASR never gave her a chance to speak to him!!! ASR will come to know later and regret!!!!
