Akruti receives a call from her client, and goes to attend it. Rohini tells the family that she will never leave them. Kaka interrupts and makes fun of her and says, how in one family two people can be so different. Rohini asks what he means. He says that Rohini and Mohini were born to the same mother, but Mohini is good, and she looks like her but she is good and well mannered than Rohini. "You should learn from Mohini and even if you learn ten percent from her, this house will benefit". He laughs at her drama and Ayee tells Rohini to ignore him and drink milk. Daksh and Naina watch the drama of the family.
Daksh wants to leave and he takes Naina aside.
Akruti says on the phone that she sorry for not completing the work. Dr. Vihan who is on the line asks what quotations she is talking about. She says, that she is sorry she called his number. He asks why she does not want to speak to him. He is glad she has taken up her work and it makes her happy. Akruti calls the right person and explains to him.
Naina speaks to Daksh and says that she has to prepare some quotations for Akruti. Daksh speaks about putting a new button on his shirt and they argue, and Naina tells him to change the shirt. He asks her whether she knows to put the button, and she asks him to do it himself. He says, in such cases, his mother used to put the button and he looks at his mother, and she walks away.
Naina tells that she will put the button, and says that she wanted his mother to think of him. He goes after the button is fixed..
On the terrace, Akruti is hanging clothes and Naina comes up. She speaks to her from her side of the line and gives her the quotations. Akruti tells her she is frightened of this dividing line. Naina says, we have to do something about this line. Akruti says,that Ayee is stubborn, Naina tells her that she is more stubborn than her.
Rohini wants to eat sweet bondi laddoos. She is giving her a list of recipes. Rohini asks if she can prepare by evening. Ayee asks Shyamal to show her how to make sarson ka saag and she tells the ingredients are not available. They decide to buy them from the market. In the meantime, Naina removes the fuse of Ayee's section. Rohini asks why she feels so hot, and she sees that the other side there is electricity. Ayee says, she will telephone the repairman. Akruti says that the meter box is o.k. Rohini says that it is a holiday, and they do not have any chance of help. Naina suggests she comes to her side, but Ayee says no..
Rohini drops something and Naina says that she should not bend. She tells Naina to mind her own business, and she need not show consideration. She tells her that she knows that she had made the phone call to her brother. She cribbs about Naina and says that it she wants to help, she should leave the house and go. She says that she hates her, and if she goes she can get her room back. Naina leaves her with her things and goes away.
Daksh tells Naina about the rickshaw strike and that the buses also have gone off the road. Daksh asks how they are at home, and she tells that his mother and aunt have gone to the market.
She hears Rohini crying and Naina rushes to help, then the mother rushes to stop Naina and wants to take her to the hospital. The mother stops Naina from crossing over.
Precap: Ayee is all excited and rushes to tell everyone that she has become a grandmother and Naina smiles at her and the mother is standing on the line as all are looking at her in surprise.

There is pandemonium in the house with Rohini's cries of labor pains, and the ladies of the camp rush here and there to find how to help. When one tires to call Sanket, his line is busy, and the mother tells any one available, to call the doctor, Akruti is not at home and Vedant is the only loose cannon being pushed around. He rushes to the kitchen, and sees Naina calling Dr. Vihan, and she tells him to get some medicines ready, and gives him money to buy them. She gets the water hot in the meantime. Vedant goes to the ladies of the camp, and tells them that Dr. Vihan is coming and wants some medicines, and the ladies are very proud that he has shown presence of mind in a moment of stress, and praise him. He goes to bring medicines. Dr. Vihan arrives and notices the line of division, but does not pass any comment, but goes to attend to the patient, and comes to the conclusion that she is in labor pains, and he needs the medications he asked for. Vedant arrives and gives him the medication and they close the door. The doctor asks for the hot water, and Vedant rushes to the kitchen, but Naina can not find a cloth to hold the vessel, and then his aunt comes rushing and tells him, that she has to make hot water. He tells her it is ready, but can not find the cloth. She gives it to him, and they both rush to the bedroom where Rohini is getting attention. Even for the water, Vedant gets the praise, but the boy knows who deserves it most, but knows that none in their camp will accept the truth.
When Sanket can not be reached, Naina calls Sushant and tells him, to pick Sanket without telling him, that he received the call from her. So Sanket comes home with great gusto with his father and they rush to the room, ignoring Naina who is watching them on her side of the line. Later she hears the baby cry, and she rushes up to the room to inform Daksh and gives him a long list ot things to buy. Naina goes down to find out more details, and she tells him, that the baby is a boy, when she hears the camp mentioning it among themselves. Daksh is pleased.
The ladies of the camp are following the tempo of the leading lady, Vibha Patwardhan, like sycophants and change their facial expressions to suit her mood. When she praises Vedant, all join her, but he remains silent, knowing that he is not the one who deserves it, but has not the guts to spill the beans. What will happen to the camp, if they come to know the truth. Will they send Dr. Vihan back, will they send Sanket back and tell him to come on a rickshaw ?
The foolish Ayee, who is endowed with a volatile temperament, which swings from one end of the spectrum to the other. When she loves, it overflows, she does not use her mind, and when she hates she does not need to use it. Every one in their camp is like this, except the young people like Vedant and Akruti, who display a greater sense of thinking than the rest of them. Their powers of reasoning have gone rusty.
The moody Vibha is all excited, and tells her family to inform all the relatives that she has got a child from her only son, with a piercing eye on Naina. What will they think and say, when they see her logic of making her batwara ? Naina is just looking at her with a pity that can come from one who knows what the truth is. How easily the camp is swayed by amours and false news
Ayee the proud grandmother, comes rushing to all her family members and tells them how happy she is. In a moment of emotion, she rushes to Naina, with her good news, and suddenly comes to a halt on the Laxman Rekha, and steps back, and as Naina smiles her gentle smile she looks at her with a sense of injured pride. The camp followers look at the show with suspense. Sweets are distributed, and even the sober Vidhyadhar for a moment has joined the camp, and has become a blind follower of his 'Anna'. They shove sweets in each other's mouths, and Kaka takes the box and keeps it for himself and congratulates them on the happy event. He tells them to call the child, Sridhar junior.
Precap: Naina is with Daksh and they comfort each other, and she offers him some of the sweets he brought for the family. They hope for the day, when the camp will come to know the truth. Will it be after the change of government, and their realization when the crowd will slowly start dropping away, and joining the other side ? But the birdie says, that some one will come to bring sense to the crowd in the camp.. Naina has already given the child her name, Bantu, the nephew of Chintu.

Dr. Vihan pays a home visit to Rohini and all around are doting family members, headed by the volatile and emotionally outpouring grandmother. The doctor prescribes medicines and gives last minute advise. Everyone eyes the grandmother, and behave as if she is a pampered child, and careful not to get on her nerves, and control their expressions, to suit the mental state of the volatile lady. Akruti comes in and gives the excuse that she had cold, and did not want to transmit the virus to the baby. She wants to pick the child, and the grandmother wants to hand over the baby with her effusive extrovert tendency. As she is about to hand over the baby, Rohini makes eye contact with her mother, and she changes her mind and says, that the baby is hungry, and gives the baby to her mother, who rolls up her eyes with raised eyebrows, as her henpecked husband looks on. The effusive grandmother takes out her necklace, and places it on the child's chest, and Sanket raises objection to the mother saying that she should not have given her personal jewelry, but Rohini quickly stops him from forcing his mother from changing her mind, with her vile insinuations, and no one can fight this vamp. Dr. Vihan goes out and sees Akruti shedding tears, and he gives her some consoling advice and she cheers up.
There is a side show of Kaka and his wife. He is sitting comfortably and then his wife draws his attention that they need to give a gift to the child. He profusely abuses the family, and express his astonishment at his sister in law and her logic, that she who has disowned her son, as bequethed him half the house as a wedding gift, and they have to be traumatized for her fanciful decisions, and says that he can not understand her mind, ever since she has come into their house. He tells his wife that he has no money, and if she has any idea she can give him a gift on her own. She feels bitter that she is helpless, and at the mercy of her sister in laws whims. She is very careful not to tread on her toes.
In the Daksh Naina bedroom, there seems to be some family planning scheme going on, as both of them are sleeping of separate beds ! Charming talk swings to and fro, with references to the baby whom they have not yet been allowed to see. Daksh takes out the toys he has brought for the baby, and suggests that he take it to the cranky baby to put him to sleep, so that both of them can take their rest. This tet-a-tete goes on till they decide to go to sleep.
The day dawns, and the women are in the kitchen, with the mother senior preparing puran polis to her son and family. The son, Sanket the elder, tells his aunt to tell his mother that she should pack some more polis to give to his friends. Vendant picks from there, and tells his mother that if she could give these to the outsiders, she could also give some to Daksh, who longs to eat them.
In the meantime, Akruti receives a call from Pune, saying that she has got the contract and she wishes to inform Naina, and she calls loudly to her, and her mother looks sternly at her and warns of the effect it would have on her aunt, and asks her to be diplomatic. She tells her mother that she got the contract, and now she can buy a gift to her grand nephew and she embraces her, and Akruti tells her that it was because of Naina she got the contract. When her mother wants to go to the terrace to dry clothes, Akruti takes them from her and goes to the terrace, and calls Naina from there and they exchange words of encouragement and make some plans to bring the family together.
In the dining room, Daksh comes to the kitchen and calls for Naina who is not there. He sees his mother preparing his favorite dish, and then Naina comes and tells him to go and sit at the table and she will bring his breakfast. She makes tea, and places some biscuits in his plate and tells him to eat. She knows her mother in law is watching and she has a plan behind this. Daksh takes the hint, and argues why she is starving him. She tells him, that he can eat at the canteen, if he feels angry. Both look sideways at their mother, who places the polis in a dish, with a bowl of some sweet dish, and brings it gingerly towards Daksh and without saying a word places it on the table.
On the way to work, Sanket passes him, also going to work, telling his mother that he is leaving, and his effusive mother lets a stream of kind words to her son. His brother wants to draw his attention, but the gutless chap, ignores him to keep in good books with his mother.
Precap: A eunuch comes to their house, and in a loud excited voice, pours out his blessings on their grand child and the family standing in their camp, all crammed up, look at him and do not know how to deal with him. He tells them, that for his blessings, they should atleast give him a donation of five thousand rupees. They are shocked at te amount. From the other side of the battle line, they hear a voice offering him the money, and Naina picks a wad of notes and offers to the eunach, which he willingly accepts and stretches his hand to Naina, and from the PZoo camp comes a loud order, "Stop." - The whole zoo comes to an abrupt halt, and there is pin drop silence. The eunuch does not know what has hit him !
Note:
When Akruti had met Naina on the terrace, they had hatched some plan. Vedant too is in it. Daksh and Naina have an understanding. The whole dining table scene is part of this plan to melt Ayee's heart. When Ayee hears, Naina saying she has not prepared breakfast, and has given him biscuits for breakfast, and he complains that he is hungry, they watch for Ayee and her reaction. She falls for it and brings the polis, and stops in front of them. DakshNa have a mischievous smile, and she is engrossed in her self pity, but the scene ends there. It jumps next to the precap, with the eunuch scene.

Vibha is in the kitchen rolling the puran polis and Daksh comes and calls for Naina who is not there. Later Naina comes and tells him to go and sit at the table and she will bring his breakfast. She makes tea, and places some biscuits in his plate and tells him to eat. Daksh argues why she is starving him. She tells him, that he can eat at the canteen, if he feels hungry. Both look sideways at their mother, who places the polis in a dish, with a bowl of some sweet dish, and brings it towards them but she moves ahead to go upstairs. Naina opens the lid of a dish, and shows him instant doklas which she made for him, but seeing his mother's attitude he gets frustrated and he just gets up and walks to go to his work.
Two eunuchs come to their house, and in a loud excited voice, shower their blessings on the grand child and the family stand there with the belief of the efficacy of their prayers, and Rohini says, that if they do not give the money they want, it is a bad omen. One of them, asks for a donation of five thousand rupees. Father argues and gives less which on counting they show their dissatisfaction at the amount. Naina from the other side of the battle line, is offering him the money, and picks a wad of notes and offers it the eunach, who willingly accepts and stretches his hand to Naina, and Ayee says not to accept it, as she does not belong to the famiy. Naina says, it is from the uncle of the child, and she asks for two specific blessings: one that he stops crying which upsets the whole house, and the Kaka, gives a thumbs up, and supports Naina's suggestion. The second blessing Naina wants is for the child to grow healthy. The eunuch, blesses Naina, with wishes for long life, a child of her own, and happiness. This galls the Ayee, and the others show indifference.
Rohini wants to take the center stage and garner all attention, and she orders the family members to do her bidding, which the tame relatives submit themselves to her whims and fancies by shunting up and down doing her chores to keep her and her child happy.
Naina tries her second stunt. She goes to a courier and sends a parcel from "K. P." with all the toys Daksh bought for the child. The parcel comes, and they think it is from Rohini's family. All are full of praise to the kind and thoughtful family, and Rohini wallops all the praise with a broad grin. Naina watches from her side, with amusement. She then thanks Akruti for her help. She calls Daksh to come home soon from work, for a surprise she has prepared for him. He comes and she shows a video on his laptop, which Vedant took of the baby, and this cheers Daksh seeing the child play joyfully with the toy he sent.
Rohini starts complaining that her child does not stop crying and then the mother takes him, and tries to put him in the crib, and the child starts playing with the toys, and on close observation, she suspects that it is the same type, she used to buy for her son, Chintu. She wonders what linkage this could have. Late in the night, she sees her husband come to the cradle and look lovingly at his grand son, playing with the toy, and his wife looks at him from afar.
When Rohini, starts complaining about Naina, the mother tells her that thinking of bad people is not good for her health. unfortunately, she is not the only one in the world to think in this vein. As there are many more, the writers have put this character to warn us from being like her.

Vibha observes closely the toy, with which the child is playing joyfully, and then asks Rohini who sent it, and she says, on the box was written Mr.and Mrs. K. P. She thought it was from her uncle Kunal Patil. Vibha calls on the phone their number and they are surprised to hear the news, and Vibha concludes that it was not sent by them.
In their bedroom, Daksh expresses his sadness at his mother's alienation. Naina tells that his mother is angry, but this can not last for ever. Suddenly they hear Vibha calling her son, "Daksh, come down." Daksh is happy his mother has finally accepted him. When both Daksh and Naina go down, they see an angry Vibha standing on her side of the line, with the toy in her hand, and asks if he sent it. He admits that he sent it to his nephew. She places the toy on their side on the ground and tells him, she has no connection with him. Daksh becomes hard on her, and says that he has not even been permitted to see his nephew, and if he likes to send a gift to him, no one should have any reason to get angry. He tells his mother, that she can throw away the toy. After all he says, if she had no qualms to throw away her own living son, what is there for her to throw an lifeless toy. He walks away and Naina looks on and says, he loves his nephew. She picks the toy, which Vibha has placed on her side of the line, and says, if she does not want it, neither is it of use to them, and throws it out of the window. All except Vibha are uneasy with her behavior.
Late in the night, she sees her husband come to the cradle and look lovingly at his grand son, playing with the toy which he has placed in the cradle, and his wife looks at him from afar. She confronts him, and he admits that he picked the toy from outside. He tells her that he can not understand her anger, when the child gets so much joy playing with this particular toy. Vibha seeks sympathy from her husband, but he is frustrated with her, that she does not even try to understand, but is fixated with one thing, and that is the thwarting of her love for her son. He has done nothing wrong according to his father, but she does not differentiate between his good deeds and the imaginary injury. There is no use, to din sense in this woman, and the wife goes to bed, and the husband follows her.
Naina hears that the next day is the naming ceremony, and they have invited guests. Naina gets up early in the morning and decks the white partition line with marigold flowers and diyas, and Kaka comes first and is surprised at Naina, who does not bear any grudge against the rest of the family. He is very pleased and says so loudly. He calls his sister in law, and with her come the entourage, and see what Naina has done, but before she can say anything, Naina invites her guests, who cross over the flowered line, and take their seats.
When Rohini, starts complaining about Naina, the mother tells her that thinking of bad people is not good for her health. unfortunately, she is not the only one in the world to think in this vein. As there are many more, the writers have put this character to warn us from being like her.

The day dawns, and the women are in the kitchen, with the mother senior preparing puran polis to her son and family. The son, Sanket the elder, tells his aunt to tell his mother that she should pack some more polis to give to his friends. Vendant picks from there, and tells his mother that if she could give these to the outsiders, she could also give some to Daksh, who longs to eat them.
In the meantime, Akruti receives a call from Pune, saying that she has got the contract and she wishes to inform Naina, and she calls loudly to her, and her mother looks sternly at her and warns of the effect it would have on her aunt, and asks her to be diplomatic. She tells her mother that she got the contract, and now she can buy a gift to her grand nephew and she embraces her, and Akruti tells her that it was because of Naina she got the contract. When her mother wants to go to the terrace to dry clothes, Akruti takes them from her and goes to the terrace, and calls Naina from there and they exchange words of encouragement and make some plans to bring the family together.
In the dining room, Daksh comes to the kitchen and calls for Naina who is not there. He sees his mother preparing his favorite dish, and then Naina comes and tells him to go and sit at the table and she will bring his breakfast. She makes tea, and places some biscuits in his plate and tells him to eat. She knows her mother in law is watching and she has a plan behind this. Daksh takes the hint, and argues why she is starving him. She tells him, that he can eat at the canteen, if he feels angry. Both look sideways at their mother, who places the polis in a dish, with a bowl of some sweet dish, and brings it gingerly towards Daksh and without saying a word places it on the table.
On the way to work, Sanket passes him, also going to work, telling his mother that he is leaving, and his effusive mother lets a stream of kind words to her son. His brother wants to draw his attention, but the gutless chap, ignores him to keep in good books with his mother.
Precap: A eunuch comes to their house, and in a loud excited voice, pours out his blessings on their grand child and the family standing in their camp, all crammed up, look at him and do not know how to deal with him. He tells them, that for his blessings, they should atleast give him a donation of five thousand rupees. They are shocked at te amount. From the other side of the battle line, they hear a voice offering him the money, and Naina picks a wad of notes and offers to the eunach, which he willingly accepts and stretches his hand to Naina, and from the PZoo camp comes a loud order, "Stop." - The whole zoo comes to an abrupt halt, and there is pin drop silence. The eunuch does not know what has hit him !
Note:
When Akruti had met Naina on the terrace, they had hatched some plan. Vedant too is in it. Daksh and Naina have an understanding. The whole dining table scene is part of this plan to melt Ayee's heart. When Ayee hears, Naina saying she has not prepared breakfast, and has given him biscuits for breakfast, and he complains that he is hungry, they watch for Ayee and her reaction. She falls for it and brings the polis, and stops in front of them. DakshNa have a mischievous smile, and she is engrossed in her self pity, but the scene ends there. It jumps next to the precap, with the eunuch scene.

Vibha is in the kitchen rolling the puran polis and Daksh comes and calls for Naina who is not there. Later Naina comes and tells him to go and sit at the table and she will bring his breakfast. She makes tea, and places some biscuits in his plate and tells him to eat. Daksh argues why she is starving him. She tells him, that he can eat at the canteen, if he feels hungry. Both look sideways at their mother, who places the polis in a dish, with a bowl of some sweet dish, and brings it towards them but she moves ahead to go upstairs. Naina opens the lid of a dish, and shows him instant doklas which she made for him, but seeing his mother's attitude he gets frustrated and he just gets up and walks to go to his work.
Two eunuchs come to their house, and in a loud excited voice, shower their blessings on the grand child and the family stand there with the belief of the efficacy of their prayers, and Rohini says, that if they do not give the money they want, it is a bad omen. One of them, asks for a donation of five thousand rupees. Father argues and gives less which on counting they show their dissatisfaction at the amount. Naina from the other side of the battle line, is offering him the money, and picks a wad of notes and offers it the eunach, who willingly accepts and stretches his hand to Naina, and Ayee says not to accept it, as she does not belong to the famiy. Naina says, it is from the uncle of the child, and she asks for two specific blessings: one that he stops crying which upsets the whole house, and the Kaka, gives a thumbs up, and supports Naina's suggestion. The second blessing Naina wants is for the child to grow healthy. The eunuch, blesses Naina, with wishes for long life, a child of her own, and happiness. This galls the Ayee, and the others show indifference.
Rohini wants to take the center stage and garner all attention, and she orders the family members to do her bidding, which the tame relatives submit themselves to her whims and fancies by shunting up and down doing her chores to keep her and her child happy.
Naina tries her second stunt. She goes to a courier and sends a parcel from "K. P." with all the toys Daksh bought for the child. The parcel comes, and they think it is from Rohini's family. All are full of praise to the kind and thoughtful family, and Rohini wallops all the praise with a broad grin. Naina watches from her side, with amusement. She then thanks Akruti for her help. She calls Daksh to come home soon from work, for a surprise she has prepared for him. He comes and she shows a video on his laptop, which Vedant took of the baby, and this cheers Daksh seeing the child play joyfully with the toy he sent.
Rohini starts complaining that her child does not stop crying and then the mother takes him, and tries to put him in the crib, and the child starts playing with the toys, and on close observation, she suspects that it is the same type, she used to buy for her son, Chintu. She wonders what linkage this could have. Late in the night, she sees her husband come to the cradle and look lovingly at his grand son, playing with the toy, and his wife looks at him from afar.
When Rohini, starts complaining about Naina, the mother tells her that thinking of bad people is not good for her health. unfortunately, she is not the only one in the world to think in this vein. As there are many more, the writers have put this character to warn us from being like her.

Vibha observes closely the toy, with which the child is playing joyfully, and then asks Rohini who sent it, and she says, on the box was written Mr.and Mrs. K. P. She thought it was from her uncle Kunal Patil. Vibha calls on the phone their number and they are surprised to hear the news, and Vibha concludes that it was not sent by them.
In their bedroom, Daksh expresses his sadness at his mother's alienation. Naina tells that his mother is angry, but this can not last for ever. Suddenly they hear Vibha calling her son, "Daksh, come down." Daksh is happy his mother has finally accepted him. When both Daksh and Naina go down, they see an angry Vibha standing on her side of the line, with the toy in her hand, and asks if he sent it. He admits that he sent it to his nephew. She places the toy on their side on the ground and tells him, she has no connection with him. Daksh becomes hard on her, and says that he has not even been permitted to see his nephew, and if he likes to send a gift to him, no one should have any reason to get angry. He tells his mother, that she can throw away the toy. After all he says, if she had no qualms to throw away her own living son, what is there for her to throw an lifeless toy. He walks away and Naina looks on and says, he loves his nephew. She picks the toy, which Vibha has placed on her side of the line, and says, if she does not want it, neither is it of use to them, and throws it out of the window. All except Vibha are uneasy with her behavior.
Late in the night, she sees her husband come to the cradle and look lovingly at his grand son, playing with the toy which he has placed in the cradle, and his wife looks at him from afar. She confronts him, and he admits that he picked the toy from outside. He tells her that he can not understand her anger, when the child gets so much joy playing with this particular toy. Vibha seeks sympathy from her husband, but he is frustrated with her, that she does not even try to understand, but is fixated with one thing, and that is the thwarting of her love for her son. He has done nothing wrong according to his father, but she does not differentiate between his good deeds and the imaginary injury. There is no use, to din sense in this woman, and the wife goes to bed, and the husband follows her.
Naina hears that the next day is the naming ceremony, and they have invited guests. Naina gets up early in the morning and decks the white partition line with marigold flowers and diyas, and Kaka comes first and is surprised at Naina, who does not bear any grudge against the rest of the family. He is very pleased and says so loudly. He calls his sister in law, and with her come the entourage, and see what Naina has done, but before she can say anything, Naina invites her guests, who cross over the flowered line, and take their seats.
