Hi Cutiepie Rani. 🤗 Always the voice of reason on IF. I agree 100%, women in Bollywood cannot be discriminated against forever. I wish someone would file a lawsuit against some hotshot director and then we will see what can be done! 😲😉

surely the talent is missing in bollywood...and actresses are far better than actors in acting... this is one truth people should realize...where are the powerful performers? upto 8 years later we could atleast see some decent movies coming by related to men...but today its totally vanished...the 90's actresses showed phenomenal growth in their acting and roles..whether its rani, karishma, shilpa, urmila, mahima, manisha, aish, madhuri...mostly all of them and today they are all vanished...i dont wanna judge today's actresses but it simply it can be seen that 'men power' has totally ruled the 'women flame' nothing interesting has been coming on their way that they could make a difference...i just worry abt the future...the talent word shall lose its meaning completely

This is why they start early (mid-late teens) and retire early.

That is the demand of our esteemed society.

😆😆😆😆😆... why is Ajay Devgan's picture there? 😆

Now why can't the audience adopt this? the directors and producers need to wake up not just on married women but those single and 30 + that want to return like Preity and I don't mean in herione orintiated roles only but with guys like the Khans , Kumar, Devagen, etc who in their 40's. As long as they are in good shape and all which Preity, Shilpa, Karishma, Urmilla are..
As Priyanka said age is only a number otherwise her and Kareena should be shaking in their shoes
Plus gals like Katrina are their even Nargis 31(thoughh bet they wanted to potray her as 24)😆😆 got a shot just because she look young an more so gori 😲😲

yes, absolutely... i never said it was right.. unfortunately, the society has a long way to go before things are more balanced between the genders.

I'd rather people like Kajol, Preity Zinta, Manisha Koirala, Rani Mukherjee came back. The industry needs them. I'm tired of the current nonsense. Shilpa Shetty too, just depends what role. I liked Madhuri then, and I get that she chose a 'dance' movie to make a comeback, but somehow, it didn't click onto me.

Its not even Bollywood's fault... Bollywood is just a reflection of the society we are in... They cater to supply and demand... Any amount of progress has not changed the core thinking or the mindset of people... It still is very sexist and very biased...
End of the day these male stars or the production houses are not here to do samaj seva or do something for the upliftment of women that they will go against the tide and insist on having the older actresses... Everything boils down to business and having the younger ones just adds to the novely, adds a newness to the movie and thats what sets the cash registers ringing...
Yes... Its is unfair but i dont see anything changing drastically...

So true, but I keep hearing how advanced India is getting, yet so backward

I agree ... if I had to choose, then I would prefer the older heroines than the ones we get today ... it's just you don't see that same spark or magic these days like you used to see in the 90s ...

like I'll admit that I do enjoy BW movies, but they are more of a timepass .. some light stuff, you laugh, you get engaged in it, and then once you're done with the movie there's nothing to think about it afterwards
the specialty, the unique-ness is lacking these days 🤔
