Friday, November 04, 2011:

Day 33: The day starts with Amar wanting Sky and Sidharth to have food. He is willing to talk to Vida and convince her to talk. Sky is adamant that Vida should tell Sidharth that she won't eat till he does not. Amar has been playing safe in the house. He has not only managed to divert the attention of Sidharth and Sky away but has also managed to get a good deal of women liking in the house.

Sidharth continues to be adamant to prove the fact that his mannerisms are not childish. He continues to talk to Vida over last night's banter over 'dal'. While they manage to patch up with each other over the talk, Sidharth gives Vida a piece of his mind over being in India and liking Indians. Vida in turn replies back about how much she loves India and how she avoided Hollywood just to be a part of India.

In the mean time, Juhi loses her cool as she has an argument with Pooja Missra over a minor dishwashing issue. She bitches about Pooja to other housemates and tells them, how she has always stood by Pooja Missra, but now Pooja Misrra refuses to listen to anything that Juhi has to say.

Captain nominations took place in the house. During the nominations, we see Juhi making last minute decisions of not voting for Pooja Misrra as the captain due to their morning tiff.

Sky starts talking aloud about how people in the house are having a problem about him being honest. Sky confesses to Bigg Boss about not wanting to be a part of the Bigg Boss house anymore. He says he wants to leave the house since he thinks Mahek's issue was not dealt with fairly and he wanted justice to be done for her actions.

Silk Smitha's brother sends legal notice to makers of The Dirty Picture

Whenever our filmmakers try to make a film on some real life person, controversies are bound to arise. The latest is the case of Ekta Kapoor's The Dirty Picture based on the life of South sensation Silk Smitha.

While the promos of The Dirty Picture have really caught on, it seems to have irked V Naga Vara Prasad (brother of Silk Smitha). Vara Prasad is upset that the makers have gone ahead and made a film on his late sister without taking permission from the family members. He also feels that the film projects Silk Smitha in an obscene manner. Vara Prasad has now sent a legal notice to the makers and if he doesn't hear from them, he plans to send a second notice through his lawyer at the Hyderabad High Court.

Meanwhile Milan Luthria, director of The Dirty Picture, refused to comment much on this controversial issue and just said that his lawyers are looking into the matter. Tanuj Garg, CEO-Balaji Motion Pictures said, "We have recieved a notice and our legal team is looking into it"

Ranbir's mother cuts his toenails: Sonam
Hindustan Times
November 01, 2011
Sonam Kapoor is in no mood to end her feud with actor Ranbir Kapoor. The two have been at loggerheads since last year, and Ranbir recently called her a drama queen. Now, Sonam has called the 29-year-old actor a 'mama's boy'.

Are girls drooling over him (Ranbir)? Really? Ranbir isn't sexy at all. Ranbir is a mama's boy, his mother cuts his toenails for him," said the 26-year-old actor in an interview in the November issue of fashion glossy Vogue India.

So, what does she seek in her man? "Shoes. Because shoes maketh a man. Intelligence, because everybody is daft. Looks are not important to me, I can make him stylish," she says.

One thing she's certain of is that she'll never date an actor. "A person who will take more time than me to get ready. I don't like primping, preening men." Besides, she says, "Indian men don't understand fashion, unless they are gay."

For Sonam, the trick to being classy is being mysterious. "You have to retain the mystery of being a woman. That's why Katrina Kaif is who she is ' a mystery. Men like mystery."

My sister can't look dirty

Silk Smitha's brother accuses Ekta Kapoor and Milan Luthria of making a film on his sibling's life without family's consent, calls it 'obscene' and sends a legal notice.

Director Milan Luthria's The Dirty Picture has managed to shock the audience as planned. But little did the filmmaker know, that his bold filmmaking would manage to shock him as well.

The film based on the life of controversial actress Silk Smitha has now irked her brother V Naga Vara Prasad. He has now sent a legal notice to Milan and producer Ekta Kapoor for making the film without the family's permission.

"We came to know through TV channels and newspaper reports that The Dirty Picture portrays my sister in a rather obscene way. Ekta Kapoor is making the film with Vidya Balan in the lead role. Neither the producer nor the director contacted us (the family). What right do the producer and the director have to make this film, without the family's consent?" Vara Prasad questioned while talking to Mumbai Mirror.

Confirming that he has indeed sent a legal notice to the makers of The Dirty Picture, Vara Prasad added, "There still has been no response from their side. We are now going to send a second notice in a couple of days through a High Court lawyer in Hyderabad. If they go ahead with the release, we will be compelled to initiate proceedings."

Silk Smitha, whose original name is Vijayalakshmi, hailed from Kovvali village near the famous Kolleru Lake in West Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh. Her family still lives in the village, where her brother is a semi-literate agriculturist. Vara Prasad, the only brother of Smitha, said that the family and relatives were upset with the news about a film on his sister with obscene content.

"We learned that they made the film based on inputs given by an alleged boyfriend of Smitha in Chennai. If they wanted to make a perfect film with facts in place, they should have contacted us to know about her childhood at least," said her brother.

Vara Prasad added, "We have to see the content of the film. Whatever is objectionable has to be deleted. Those days, the media was limited hence we could not get the actual truth behind her death. Many believe that she ended her life because of financial problems. It may not be the truth."

Prasad also made it clear that the family was not looking for any monetary gain. "We don't need anything from them. We just want them not to hurt us and our relatives," he stated. He said the family would do its best to prevent release of the film on Dec. 2, the birthday of Silk Smitha.

When contacted, Milan Luthria said, "Basically people like us tend to get into a situation like this very late in the day. It is very difficult to say anything at all as our legal advisors have warned us not to comment since the matter is subjudice.

My only concern is that things should go well and this course of events should not harm the product. It is tough to say anything more at this stage, as we don't know exactly how things are going to unfold. The lawyers are looking in to the papers and they will take proper action.

Priyanka Chopra's dad an idiot: Taslima Nasreen

Controversial writer Taslima Nasreen, who regularly tweets her opinion on sundry matters, has made Priyanka Chopra's father her current target.

She writes, "Priyanka Chopra's father said, 'Priyanka is like a son to me'. What an uncouth idiot man! Daughter hatred not yet gone. I am waiting for the day when fathers would feel proud of their sons and say 'my son is like a daughter to me'."

She ends by quoting feminist Gloria Steinem, "We've begun to raise daughters more like sons..but few have the courage to raise our sons more like our daughters."

Ahem Over to Priyanka!
