aww...i was wondering whether some of u were giving me the silent treatment or what??!!!😆Hi Pooja and a big sorri for being so late. 🤣🤣🤣🤣 reading the post. This is called character reformation. Nothing cheap or hurting, nothing demeaning. You have molded all the characters so well and each standing firmly, and the thoughts all woven well together.
Thanks for a nice refreshing story, and makes me believe that all is not lost with the real story.

Wow, seriously u have molded character perfectly and the story is just simply perfect and brilliant!! its a refreshing break to read your OS. I can't stop Rofl-ing while reading Om's view on technology and Shaadi.com, poor guy! 😆
Sorry, Pooja..for being a late latif...😔
Hey Pooja 😊. I guess this review was long overdue. Took me some time because of the exams. Sorry. Well, here it goes.
-Every man has a contradictory streak to his character. Om's transformation is pretty much based on this fact. Throughout this OS, we see him undoing the deeds/things he had done before. He proclaims technology as useless, yet it turns out to be his partner in crime. His hatred for Navya is profound in the beginning, but that doesn't stop him from giving her credit for what she has done for his family. Finally, from being disgusted to utter the H-word, we see him enjoying a two-week honeymoon. So Om, basically, is a bundle of contradictions. Once again, you showed your ability to play with contrasting shades in a person. 👍🏼
-He seems to love BD more than Baba, quite contrary to what we see in the show. Om in your OS, pretty much reminds me of Anant in the show. It takes a while before he actually starts to see sense in his life and. Before that, he has sought solace in, to use your words, BD's counsel, like how Anant's principles were influenced by CSB's preaching. Circle of life, eh. Only thing, here it is anti-clockwise. The youngest grandson gets enlightened first, eldest potha second, father next and grandpa last. With Om as the protagonist, you have neatly portrayed how the transformation of his near and dear ones affects his life.
- Ok, now I might sound stupid. Ever heard of this saying- "In Kalyug, for whatever bad karma you indulge in, your punishment is just immediate". Om sinking lower and lower in his seat, as his best laid plans suffered many blows, was reminiscent of this saying. He dreamt of clipping Anant's wings, only to witness Anant fly away from his cage. In the process of burdening the Mishras, he ended up giving permanent shelter to them and taking over the entire marriage expenses. Mohan might have well succumbed to Om's pressure, but he broke all stereotypes and saw his soulmate in a divorcee. Even Shaaadi.com turned its back on him. It looked more like penance for his paap. Price one pays for being rich & famous!!
-You have not made Om into a cruel villain. Instead, you have just brought his Grey shades to the fore. I for one wouldn't call him vile and cruel. He just comes across as a mean person and your comic touch to his meanness is a brilliant move. Some of the lines that reiterate my POV-
"useless emotions like love that I harbored as a child, & taught me that a frown or a scowl was an extremely effective way to squirm my way out of answering questions which would prove what a low IQ I have" "whats wrong with that second born of mine?!!😡 He could not be my byproduct!! Where was I 9 months prior to his birth? Sugandha was slim & trim then, who knows🤔...she couldn't, could she...naah!!! No one could resist my charm even in those days...!! 😎Must be genes from Sugandha's side of family!!" ' we are temporarily withdrawing the biodata as the family is going on a pilgrimage to wash away the sins of the younger generation. He couldn't wait to start bride hunt part 2. Hail the Bajpayee Mogambos!!"
-Now, coming just to the humor part of the OS. Need I say? You are the queen when it comes to making me go ROFLMAO. Some of my favorite expressions-
We both have decided that we don't need meddlesome buddhe in our lives...so we are going away"😎
She was found to have jhatkomania, he was recently treated for macular degeneration which had caused the eye bulging actions! The best is saved for the last, of course. The epilogue to the OS was wonderfully worded. Om had become a changed man. It was the ultimate contradiction. Right from his looks (bald and shaven) to his entire thought process, he has had a makeover. Like I said before, this entire bit added an emotional touch to the OS. The unexpected results, broadening of perspective, letting go to attain greater power gave a very 'Mishra'ish side to Om's character and I gather, that is why he could appreciate Navya whole-heartedly.
Oh I really can't stop myself from quoting this bit.
But the echoes of laughter resonating within these walls do please the ears. They've made this house into a home. And I now know smiling uses fewer muscles than frowning! I googled it!!!
For the first time in history, I could associate the word FAMILY, with Bajpais. For all that he had done in the past; his redemption has earned him back, his loved ones. But the man still sticks to his old partner-in-crime (read Google), huh (albeit, for useful purposes now).My verdict- To hell with all the unnecessary baggage Mr.Om Prakash Bajpai. You have rightfully earned a place in the discourse for love.
A very good OS, Pooja 😃. Handling supporting characters can be quite a task and you have executed it commendably. Great stuff. Why not try with other supporting characters too ??
