I've been wondering why today's episode redeemed La to the point where we'll feel deeply uncomfortable if Arnav and Khushi get real romantic in the next few weeks. Personally, I'm going to be totally creeped out if he tries anything more than dupatta retrieval and ankle rubs with Khushi at this point. This is not because I'm 13 and "boys are icky" but because it's going to be impossible to not think he's an a**hat and Khushi's not much better with newly adorable La wandering around and beaming at everyone with those damn dimples.
The CVs have either painted themselves into a corner with the total character rehaul, or they plan to use her as a BIG plot twist. When Khushi declares she's getting married, she'll tell La and itd natural that she'll invite her as her friend. La is the only one from the Raizada household likely to go to the pre-wedding festivities. Khushi is her "apne" now, they are jelebi sisters, for cryin out loud. ASR will literally disintegrate if he has to go to see Khushi getting prepped for marriage to some random dude,and Anjali and Nani might see her at the mandaap, but not before, they are too senior/too rich to go to Lakshminagar for mendi/haldi and the like.
La also has the distinction of being someone who's movements are not monitored by Shyam, and who knows who he really is. I think she'll be the one to find out about the duplicity.
At this point, I believe that her character's change will lead her to try and protect Khushi AND Anjali, who she adores, and tell Khushi and be the one to go tell Arnav. I think she might gracefully back off from her own wedding to ASR when his reaction to the betrayal confirms that he is as wrapped up in Khushi as Khushi is in him (assuming La gets working eyesight and the ability to think in the next few weeks along with her new conscience and sankskar).
This way, Khushi's efforts to actually train La are not in vain, their friendship isn't a mockery, and we don't have a random new villian who the audience wont buy as a vamp/new antagonist after seeing her genuinely change. She might be hurt,and deeply upset, but the new La as we saw her today wont be vindictive. Thoughts?
