Anjum Farooki aka Gauri, who plays male lead Jagdish's second wife in Colors' Balika Vadhu, was a journalist with a portal before she entered the glamour world.
Apparently, this journalist-turned-actress was spotted by a producer and was asked to audition for their upcoming show.
