He opens the door and sees her standing at the window.
Precap: The yearning
Part 22
Home brought a peculiar longing...
She yearned to feel the sense of belonging...
She longed to know whether it was it not a one off thing
To feel the sensations, which were brought out by him were enough.
Even the thought of losing him was tough.
The depth of feeling she felt for him
Her attraction for him was not a whim
She wanted His essence to surround her.
She wanted to visit the place which had brought out so much calm, peace, serenity in her.
Reaching home had brought a peculiar longing in her. She could not understand the pull that room had on her. She tried to distract herself. She went to the garden. As she walked forward into the walled garden she was joyous to see the night flowers blooming especially the raatrani spilled down the walls, giving the air an exotic, sweet scent. She had spent many hours in here, reading and thinking about the future after her parents' death. But today even the sight of the garden did not bring calmness to her thoughts. She could not distance herself from the thoughts of the night. She could not understand the attraction of that room had on her.
Without any further thought her legs took her to that room where she had spent the night with him. When she tried to switch on the light of the room it failed to switch on leaving the room in darkness the only light coming from the window, she went back to her room to bring a candle as she wanted to see what was so special that she couldn't distance herself form it.
Lighting the candle she looked around only to find nothing special which attracted her there but she could not bring herself to leave it. Gazing out of the window she stood there thinking.
When he opened the door to the room, it was to see her standing at the window, her back to him.
She heard the sound and turned.
He moved closer until he loomed over her and she had to tilt her head back to gaze at him. He closed the gap between them. Only an inch or two separated their torsos. Her breath stalled in her chest.
He lifted her chin with his knuckle and covered her mouth with his. Geet stood frozen to the spot as a potent cocktail of heat, arousal and adrenaline surged through her. His lips pressed hers open and his tongue sought and found hers in a slick, hot caress. A whimper of need slipped up to her throat. Her nails bit into her palms as she struggled for sanity and fought the urge to wrap her arms around her.
She didn't have a clue why she kept on kissing him and she did not care. She had dreamt of this moment and yearned for it. His chest pressed her breasts and their thigh touched and then his arm hooked around her and yanked her against him. Her heart race and her skin flushed.
His heat scorched her arousing her more. The pressure of his mouth on hers intensified, bending her back over his arm. She dropped the matchstick on the floor and gave in to the need to wind her arms around his middle for support as the room spun around her.
The warmth of his palm splayed over her hip and rose with torturous slowness to rest on her rib cage with his thumb just below her breast. Her n****** tightened in anticipation. She wanted him to touch her, ached for it. But he didn't.
His hold loosened and he stepped away.
He plowed his hand through his hair and turned towards the window. He hadn't slept worth a dam since the last night because he could not help wondering whether they did the right thing or not. His conscience countered with a warning prickle up the back of his neck. He turned and left.
She was dazed, standing there frozen watching him leave. It took her few minutes to realize he had gone before she could stop him and talk to him. She ran after him only to see Dev disappear into his room and shut the door.
It was two days since Geet had last gone to that room- two days in which she had time to focus on her work which she had continued form home and to prepare herself for the Haldi ceremony to be held that night.
Dadima had banished all the men including Dev to the outhouse for the Haldi ceremony. And from that day to the wedding day no men were allowed into the Haveli. Their food and other necessary item were being provided in the outhouse only.
She kept on thinking how the time flew and now the Haldi Rasm was tonight and then the Mehendi and Sangeet all in three days time, and on the forth day the most important day she would become Mrs. Dev Singh Khurana.
