Chapter 13

Gulaal got ready for the office...she took her breakfast and drove away

While kesar was siting in his garden area he was reading the newspaper and saw gulaal was coming...he got up immediately

Gulaal came near

Kesar was amused he asked "tum yanha"

Gulaal said sarcastically "mujhe neeraj mehta se kuch puchtach karni hai"

Kesar smiled and said "kahiye memsahib kya puchna hai"

Gulaal said "kal apne ek lift mein fase bache k jaan bachayi thi?"

Kesar replied "arey aapko kaise pata chala"

Gulaal "woo sab chodiye aap yeh batayi aap to ek chunar ka business karte hain phir aapko yeh lift kholna aur yeh itni modern technology k security system ko operate karna kaise aata hai?"

She continued "ek normal businessman ko lift k security system ka bare mein knowledge kaise???"

Kesar smiled and said "well yahi lift mere office mein installed hai ek baar mera employee phass gaya tha humne mechanic ko bulaya tha...usne hi basic instructions diye the taaki aage koi problem naa ho aur future mein hadsaa ho to koi kaam aa jaaye...thanks to him kal bache k jaan bach gayi"

Then he gave the number and said "yeh number hai isese puch lijeyega"

Gulaal looked at him and remain silent for a moment

And she said in low voice "kal tumhe kya hua tha?"

Kesar heart pounded he asked shyly "kal"

Gulaal hung her head down and said "matlab kal jab lift se tumne bache ko nikala tha uske baad?"she wanted to know y he was sad

Kesar brushed off the question and said "mujhe chodo tum batao tumhe kya hua"

Gulaal rolled her eyes and asked "mujhe??.mujhe kya hua hai"

Kesar said "baar baar mujhse yeh bekaar question karne k wajah yeh kyu kah deti k tum mujhse milna chahti ho aur tumhara bhi din mujhe dekhe bina poora nahi hota"

Gulaal was irritated she said "jyada bakwaas mat karo."

Meanwhile kunal came out there he wanted to say something...kesar looked at kunal and signaled him to remain silent and then turn to gulaal

And said "aur kuch puchana hai aapko"

Gulaal said "nahi"

Kesar replied smilingly "ok to phir darwaaze se jaayengi yaa khidki (window) se"

Gulaal frowned at him and walked away in frustration

Kunal "woo hacker ka msg tha geman se joo latest hacking code order kiya tha woo aa gaya hai"

Kesar said "ok usko convey kar do one week baad south delhi k old gowdown k peeche waali jagah par aa jaaye wanhi le lunga"

Meanwhile gulaal was walking in frustration she said to herself "itna idiot hai man to karta hai char jhapad seedhe lagau par koi baat nahi isko dekh lungi"

And she walked she saw imli...imli started barking at her

Gulaal seized in terror she said "oh no...yeh phir se"

And she started taking moving back she said "imli good doggie aaj to biscuit bhi nahi hai kya karu"

While imli started moving towards her

Gulaal was so frightful she began to run asking for help but the servant were inside

Kesar was standing at the garden area he turned and gulaal collided with him and he lost his balance and they fell on ground...gulaal was over him...kesar was enchanted..the shiver ran down his body she was terrible close to him and he couldn't help but to stare her not blinking his eyes...while gulaal returned to his gaze...something looked to change inside her...she could feel the warmth of his eyes in her...all her frustration anger was gone and there was infinite compassion for him...they gazed deeply

there gaze only broke wen imli barked at her again...gulaal broke the gaze she wanted to stood up but kesar passed his arm around her waist and she collided with him again

He said in husky voice "maarne k iraada hai kya"

Gulaal replied "shutup aur chupchap utho"

Kesar said "but u fall upon me"

Gulaal pushed him and stood up and said "get lost"

Kesar smiled and got up

Then gulaal pointed at Imli who was barking at her and said "is dog ko bandh kar kyu nahi rakhte"

Kesar" iska ek naam hai imli don't offend her agar mein tumhe homo sapiens bulau to acha lagega aur kya kya kare delhi mein chor bahoot hai...ab to bas imli ka sahara hai police kanha kuch kar paati hai"

Gulaal said "police kya karti hai pata chal jayega aur choro k ghar bhi chori hoti hai?"

Kesar "trust me aajkal ladkiyaan is young handsome bachelor ladke k ghar aadhi raat ko aa jaati hai?."

Gulaal frowned at him

Kesar smiled and said "jab tumhe roz yanha aana hai to imli se friendship kar lo...haan agar tumhe mere upar baar girna acha lagta hai to koi baat nahi"

Gulaal looked in other direction in anger

kesar then sat on the garden made imli sat and cuddled his dog he asked gulaal to sat beside him he took her hand and made her cuddle the dog gulaal was fearful in beginning and then her fear went away and she began to cuddle and began to show affection to imli..

gulaal said "so cute" cuddling his dog...imli calm down and cuddled her back displaying the affection for her

kesar and gulaal smiled and then kesar said in soft voice "pyaar sabko chahiye...insaan ho yaa janwaar pyaar se har kisi ko jeeta jaa sakta hai...haina"

gulaal dropped her eyelid and then extended her hand and said to imli "friends"

imli extended her foot and gulaal and imli became frns and she smiled widely

Kesar watched her and extended his hand forward for frnship and said "aur mein?"

Gulaal looked at him and said "hum dushman hai aur hamesha rehenge..got it"

Kesar smiled and nodded his head

And gulaal walked away

Gulaal reached office dushyant was waiting for her

Dushyant called her in cabin and said "gulaal kanha gayi thi"

Gulaal said "sir kuch jaruri kaam tha aap bataiye"

Dushyant said "haan woo tumahre area mein ek crime hua hai extortion money k liye ek builder ka murder ho gaya hai...yeh case tum inspector kadam k under mein assist karogi ok"

Gulaal said ok and left the cabin and studied the case...it was murder case of a builder...previous day two men arrived the builder's construction site and shot him dead as he refused to answer call and pay extortion...

Gulaal started working on the case under the guidance of inspector kadam...she went on the murder spot talked to employees and the witness to solve the case

After much investigation and enquiry she gave her report to inspector kadam and dushyant "sir saare inquiry kar li hai...yeh kaam kaali aur uske gang member ka hai...humne sab pata kar liya parvesh aur raju naam k do logo ne shootout kiya hai...aas paas k logo se milkar sketch banwa liya hai aur sabhi police station mein circulate kar diya hai aur checkpost bhi laga diya un donno ka bhaag pana mushkil hai"

dushyant said "well done gulaal tum sach mein bahoot jaldi learn karne lagi ho I m really proud of u"

gulaal smiled...she worked hard for the case and after a week span she got a call she took the information

and quickly informed inspector kadam "sir pata chal gaya hai woo raju aur parvesh south delhi k purane gowdown mein dekhe gaye hain"

inspector kadam said "der nahi karni chahiye lets go"

and then gulaal inspector kadam and a junior inspector and two constable sat in the jeep and drove to the spot where the criminal was hiding

in the journey inspector said "dekho dhyann se bach kar jaane naa paye seedhe encounter karna hai unka"

gulaal was surprised she asked "sir encounter par kyu?"

Inspector kadam "wanted criminal hai dead or alive to phir alive ku rakhe seedhe goli maar denge sarkar ka rashan bhi bachega"

Junior inspector said "gulaal aaj pehla encounter hai...agar aaj kisi ko shoot kiya to meethai khilani padegi"

And everybody laughed in the jeep while gulaal was silent how shallow the value of life was in their eyes...she thought

Gulaal with her collegue went inside the gowdown inspector kadam instructed shot the criminals dead instantly...parvesh and raju the prominent member of durgesh's gang were hiding with 5 other gangster...CID team entered the place and the massive shoot out took place

Meanwhile kesar was waiting for a hacker for software and hacking code in the nearby place as decided between them

Hacker came

Kesar said "kanha tha itne der kabse wait kar raha hun"

Hacker said "sab gadbad ho gayi hai CID waalo k jeep pass waale gowdown k pass khadi hui hai chupachap nikal lete hai nahi to hume bhi chakkar mein phass jayenge"

Kesar was alarmed he started walking towards his car

"par yeh CID waale yanha aaye kyu hai" kesar askedwhile walking

Hacker said "pata nahi par wanha shoot out ho raha hai lagta hai encounter ho raha hai pata hai ek ladki bhi hai us team mein meine dekha tha"

Kesar stopped he thought for a sec and asked "ladki?kaun si ladki"

Hacker "wahi jiski photo aayi thi newpaper mein wahi ladki"

Kesar was concerned he stopped and asked hacker to leave and

He stood still for a moment..and then started walking towards the gowdown in the quick steps

While the gun battle a criminal excaped from the gowdown and gulaal ran after him..she chased him..the criminal and gulaal ran in the open space surrounded by the big iron containers and boxes...the criminal shot at her and she slid between the iron container and boxes...using them as shield...she peeped out and saw the criminal was searching for her with the gun in his hand in the other direction

She came out and she placed her finger on the trigger of the gun..her target ws right infront of her...she had to shoot him as per the instructions...but gulaal froze she couldn't shot him; as she was about to kill a human made up of same flesh blood and emotions like her, whose heart must be beating like hers, whose lungs might be breathing like hers, who was a complete stranger to her whom she had never met in her life and she was ordered to kill him who did no harm to her and she was dumbfonded...

while criminal turned around he saw her pointing gun at him the criminal was scared he aimed the gun at her and shot...

Arti...loved the conversation between keasr n gulaal...imli such a goos dog yaara...bas woh aise hi gulaal ko dekhe bark kartha rahe..yeh kya kiya kesar...gulaal aur imli ka friendship karwadiya...u lost a very good opportunity...so gulaal is in danger n now she is shot...well kesar is there...so i hopw she is safe but hopw this will not create any problems for kesar...

Chapter 12:

It was a very touching chapter- Kesar's dialogues broke my heart🥺. Got to see the other side of this happy-go-lucky witty theif. He lost his family and is completely alone😭...uska background itne dukh se bhara hua hai😭. Bulbul's statement is the statement of majority towards criminals... they really never get accepted even if they are reformed! I loved the scene where kesar stayed on the call whole night- hayye this is one of the most original romantic scene😍.

BTW the lift opening part reminded me of a short story by the name of Jimmy Valentine I read once, its also abt a chor falling in love

Chapter 13:

The GK interaction was again real fun! Ahh Bless Imli☺️, Kesar ko uski dosti nahi karani chahiye thi Gulaal se...accha mauka chala gaya! I kinda expected that Gulaal wud get into some trouble in the encounter- fortunately Kesar is there..and Gulaal shot???? Aarey itni interesting jagaah pe koi rokta hai kya???🤓
