Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has become the epitome of the perfect Indian bahu. Says a source close to the actress, "Last week there were two functions at the Bachchan residence - one was Amitabh Bachchan's birthday and the other was the mehendi function before karva chauth.
In spite of being in her eighth month of pregnancy, Ash was very active and played the role of hostess to perfection. She not only looked after the guests but also kept the karva chauth fast the next day. Over the weekend, she sat with her mother-in-law Jaya to finalise the guest list for her godh bharai function."
A little birdie in the Bachchan house tells us that it was Ash's idea to gift all the ladies designer duppatas as a parting gift.
