@ kalapi i just saw your earlier post clarifying what you mean with being terated like a naukar and what not how karan feels he is not given importance in his opinions.
but if you look in previous episodes, the bedii's always very proudly talk about karan's contributions to the business. they praise him a lot. and they always mention how he is worthy of inheriting the business one day...isn't that importance?? they never make him feel worthless, they are always praising him and involving him in big family matters/decisions as far as i have seen. i feel that they do give him a lot of support and importance and love and care. i have never seen them sidestep him. infact they get really upset with him when he has low confidence or sees himself as beneath them...satnam chacha got really mad at him once saying never to call himself as anythign less than his son.
the person who did not give him importance adn shamed him and disrespected him and humiliated him was hetal...she was the one to make him feel unworthy the day she begged her family for a car. the day she kept muttering how uselessly she is and comparing him to how wonderful her brother is. his family has never said anythign liekt hat it's always her who maeks those kinds of claims and belittles him. and then shoves the blame on his family.
infact, at first pam's mom was turned off by that whole family and karan...but it was after talking to vimmy chachi and hearign her praise and how highly she spoke of him..that pam's mom started rrealizing how much power he had in the house and what his prospects were and entertainign the idea of getting her daughter married to him...as that then will put her daughter into a place of power too...

I utterly disliked the way Ambaji took offense and started telling proudly how great her Anukalp is . ...One has to be FAIR . Their daughter had been without food or water till 11 ,still they spoke VERY mildly . Why the hell did he keep his phone switched off ? What if there was an emergency in the family ? Her son had not respected the bahu of that house and her daughter was lying in maayka arrogantly getting pampered by her understanding in laws who were begging and begging them to come back .

The Bedis have been stripped dry by the Gandhi daughter while the Bedi daughter has done everything possible for the Gandhis . She is still unappreciated . If I had been in Satnam's place I wud have fired Ambaji asking her see how we treat ur daughter , when she made excuses to come to our house WE came egolessly to YOUR house ...and what ego r u showing by saying MY Anukalp will never keep his wife Bhooka ...then why the hell is my Daughters mooh SOOKHA , huh ? Baat karti hai !

Ambaji's Naak is very UPAR , someone shud give her good and make it down .

I do think they had some kind of arrangement but its unclear . Karan WAS treating Hetal outside , making decisions like taking her out for an outing although Daarji disapproved as lot was going on at that moment regarding Sweety etc . He was being paid something and they intended to bequeath full business to him . When this revolt happened , Mona , as Satnam's daughter , offered him half the share of the business as HIS . Kalapi they were really rather nice and fair about the whole thing ...any Uncle wud have eaten up Karans share as his Dad never contributed a dime for so many years .

I was talking abt the time till Karan GREW UP .

Actually Kools I do think he used to work with Satnam, because I don't remember him going to college, also when he started revolting, I think in 1 episode it was shown he didn't open the shop because he was mad of Satnam.😃

I know of a true story similar to this track. It's a true story. This boy was the only son belonging to a very rich family of gold/precious jewelers. The father started working very young and was very successful. The son was the oldest with 2 younger sisters….a typical Indian family where the son inherits everything (after marrying the daughters off). The oldest daughter (younger to the son) was married off before his parents found a beautiful girl for him. It was an arranged marriage. Soon after marriage he started feeling he is being treated as a 'servant"(the son worked in the family business, ran errands for father etc.) …..his wife was fully responsible for making him feel that he isn't getting his due respect etc., somewhere something just didn't gel between the DIL and the in-laws, even though she knew that they will only inherit everything ….she also had lot of issues with the younger nanad…anyway long story short…the family had a lot of internal fights, they separated, the father before passing away married his younger daughter off, and at present the mother lives with her younger daughter (in her sasural) ,as even though mother – in law is the owner of a big house etc. she just couldn't adjust with DIL in the long run.

In this situation, I as an onlooker feel, both failed managing the situation, when DIL started saying that her hubby is a servant, the Parents should have been much more careful in treating the son, esp. in front of the new bride…no one knows how insecurities arises, maybe the situation wasn't to be saved either way, but as a grown up now after so many years, I feel the parents might have done better if they made them feel that wasn't the case, might be making them part of all decisions however small, or asking for their opinion.

Groovychica, oh u are probably right, I am probably over analyzing karan, just to argue with all the worthy people in this forum (and enjoying the constructive arguments that is going on 😃). I hardly think the CVs went through such pain of painting the character of Karan 😃... it all my imagination how the charater could turn up to be...I just hope that the CVs manages to keeps him grey...
