Have been watching this serial for quite some time now and the disrespect to Elders and the stifling arrogance of the youngsters Karan and Hetal is troubling me a LOT as a viewer .
Satnam has come and begged Karan to understand . At his sasural .
Vimmy has come to his sasural and begged Karan with tears in eyes .
Gurnam has come and begged with joint hands .
Sweety has begged .
Mona is always begging .
Now only Daarji remains and he is being advised to go and beg Karan
He did BIG mistake when in helplessness he cried out to Karan to leave as Karan was JUST NOT SHUTTING UP and fighting with damad of the house for an issue that was stale an did not matter even to the victim Sejal . The old man foresaw serious repercussions in Sweety's life and he first pleaded with grandson to stop and then lost his temper . BIG MISTAKE .
So Daarji should go and cry on Karan's sasural doorstep .
And THEN Karan will consider whether he wants to come or not ? WOW ! I mean ...WOW !
What a great young man ! He needs to be saluted indeed .
The Grandpa on whose lap he once peed as a baby should say SORRY to him officially and plead him with joint hands and THEN he will decide if he will go or not .
Darji's messages through Mona , Vimmy , his hints are not enough . He has to be stripped of his dignity .
The old man should put his turban on Karan Kumar's feet and appease his hurt ego .
His IZZAT has been hurt .
And there is GREAT IZZAT in living at wife's maayka by Indian standards . See what happened to Parmeet . He slowly lost respect , Karan started talking disrespectfully to him and Sweety too started shutting him up when she would not be in the mood .
Karan does NOT have the brains to wonder how come Hetal is NOT making a big izzat issue about living in Ambaji's house inspite of not getting along with Ambaji on any level and getting once SLAPPED by Ambaji .
The Izzat issue is only applicable to Karan . WOW.
Its good to feel Elders bowing before us and touching our feets . Thats the country we grew in . Their gestures should not be enough . We should demand MAAFIS from them ...official , formal ones in FRONT of our SASURALS .
WE are Hurt , We Are hurt , we should tom tom our feelings .
Ok . Fine . If The Youth like Karan feel that way , we must respect those feelings .
But then is it necessary to WANT such youth as our culture carriers or waaris etc etc in our house , at the cost of our dignity ?
Why ? To invite them and constantly walk around them gingerly in fear of hurting their feelings , miffing their egos ?
Cannot Elders stay as they are , in peace ? Are The Karans and Hetals really needed ?
If a daughter is living nearby ...Mona ...cannot she manage sasural AND Maayka both ?
Woman is called SHAKTI .
Why not ?
I vote that Karan should not be given ANY importance henceforth and be left alone with his wife . At his sasural . Let him get IZZAT there .
I hope that CVS show a scene in which HE leaves his wife and goes back only to found that the Elders who loved him so much and came like beggars to his sasural's door to take him , have REALLY hardened and CAN GET ALONG WITHOUT HIM .
I expect that if such an event occurs in MY LIFE , God will not strip me of MY DIGNITY as an elder as thats ALL that I will have at that age .
