Recap; "I am fed up with talking to you over the phone. I want to see you properly without our family circus, to talk to you, get to know you and be naughty with you".

She shyly looked down and breathed. "Okay lets meet tomorrow".

"You better come as I want to spend some time with you before marriage".

"I will".

There was a moment of silence and Maan decided to ask her more about her.

"Geet why did you stop ringing me? Is it because of that girl?"

"To be honest Maan I rather not talk about it". He could tell her voice seemed hurt so he did not pursue any further.

"Anyway Geet you work in the sales shop in town don't you?"

Geet got up from her bed and wondered how he knew all that about her. "How do you know?"

Maan took his shirt off and lay on his be in his black vest. "Uhhh I was in town and saw you going some where so I followed you". Geet's breathing stopped. Maan Singh Khurana and followed her. She felt really embarrassed. Her heart beat increased and she blurted out. "You stalker".

He laughed while laying on bed with his shoes on. "Maan I can't believe it you followed me". All through the conversation her mind was wondering if he really did or was he teasing her.

"One thing Geet I don't want anyone knowing we are meeting up ESPECIALLY OUR FAMILY...otherwise you know what will happen our elders won't approve and our brothers and sisters won't be able to keep their mouths shut".

"I understand Maan". She twisted her hair in excitement that the guy she always dreamed of is finally going to meet her as her boyfriend. She could not help but smile.

"Oh yeh where will we meet?"

"Somewhere away from our town ...we will meet near Hampton Gardens..its very lovely atmosphere and loads of little shops and cafe's".

"Great and you better not be late okay. ...Geet I will wait for you with a bunch of flowers outside the train station".

"That will be so embarrassing please no over the top gestures".

"Yes I will"

"No Maan nooo". They were squabbling that Raam knocked on the door. "Geet beta open the door..I need to talk to you". Geet whispered on the phone. "Maan Baba is here ssshhh..stay on the line". She put her iphone under her pillow. Maan stayed on the line. She opened her door wondering why her father will come to her room at this time of night. "

"Geet tomorrow prepare lots of food as someone is coming to ask for Nisha...they are good people and this rishta will be too good to let go so please make the effort...beta since your mother has died I only rely on you so make sure you look after everything". He lovingly touched Geet's cheek.

"Baba don't worry I will handle everything". Raam left and Geet wondered what she will do now. She picked up her phone and Maan was still on the line. "Maan tum ne suna na baba said to prepare food tomorrow so I can't meet you...I'm sorry".

Maan got fuming. "I knew it..you meeting me is too good to be true!"

Geet began biting her nails. "Maan its not my fault.. I was ready but you know baba came aur sab maamla chopat ho gaya".

"teek hain you be a good daughter and I will go to sleep now..as your known to be an expert at making promises and then breaking them...you think my heart is a toy and one minute yes we are meeting and next we are not".

"Maan don't you think your over reacting a little bit?" she asked with an arched eyebrow.

"Ohhh so you think me Maan Singh Khurana is over-reacting now? So Miss Under-reacting you go and prepare food for others when your own Maan is suffering...good night and good bye".

Geet looked at his shirtless screensaver and smiled nervously. "Arre ye toh bura mana gaye...ab kaise manao?"

She laid in bed thinking of all the ways she could pacify him. She rang his mobile he cut her off. She tried again but he cut her off. "Ye Maan bi naa ghusa naak par hi hota hain". She sent him several sms but he never replied to anything.

Meanwhile Maan was angrily going through some files. "Itne dino baad mouka mila tah milne ka wo bi iss Geet ki waja se cancel hogaya...kya wo apne baba ko mana nahi kar sakti ti...she is not the only one in the house there is Sonam too..but oh no Geet likes to act like Cinderella".

Suddenly Maan's mobile beeped showing he had an answer message. He picked up his mobile thinking who could it be. He began listening to it. The message was Geet singing:

Main hoon teri sajni sajan hain tu mera,

Tu bhand ke ayaa mera pyar ka sehra,

Sehre se ab tere hathi nahi ankiya,

Tera naam le le kar chehre muje sakiya,

Sakiyo se ab mujko peecha churana hain,

Pal bar ki judai pir laut anaa hain,

Saathiya sang rehe gat era pyar,

Saathiya rang laye ga intezaar.

Maan smiled and thought ooo she sounded so sweet. He kissed the phone.He began dreaming of how they will look if they were getting married.

. His mobile sounded off again. He picked it up. "Yes Geet!"

"Maan ab bi naraaz ho?"

"tumara itna pyara ghaana sun kar koun budbhakht naraaz reh sakta hain Geet".

"So you heard?" she asked shyly.

"Well its not the first time I heard you sing".

"You heard me sing before?"

"Yeh when it was pooja in your house last year".

"Maan you are such a stalker!". She spoke feeling embarrassed.

"Anyway plan for meeting up is cancelled when are we meeting now? And your not going to cancel again are you? Because I will not be forgiving as I am today".

"We will meet the day after and I promise I won't cancel again".

"Okay Geet it is getting late...take care and sweet dreams".

"Maan I have to say something before you go...take care...sweet dreamsss...good night...and...and..."

Maan waited with baited breath...as if he knew what she was going to say.

"And...I LOVE YOU". She said in one breath and put the phone down. She buried her head in the pillow feeling incredibly shy. *I can't believe I told him that I love him moment*

Maan looked at the cut phone and smiled. "Geet I love you too". He closed his eyes and went to sleep blissfully.

Geet got up early and began preparing food. "Sonam help me..need to make pilau...kheer...phokore...sabzi..so much to do". Sonam was making the dough. "Di Maan jija ka sunao? All well between you two?"

"Of course...why you asking?"

"Just you become so secretive these days".

"No Sonam you just been too busy...anyway we are meeting tomorrow but keep it to yourself okay".

"Awww Di so exciting". The boys family were here and the Handa's were very hospitable. Raam liked the family and Nisha was head over heals when she saw the boy Dino. The families decided to go and think and then answer the next time they met up. It had been a tiring day and all the family went off to bed early. Geet came into her room and saw her iphone. She had 10 miss calls by Maan. She rang back. "Fursat mil gai? How did the evening go?"

"Good..just a little tired".

"Don't tell me my Cinderella is too tired to meet up with me". He asked in a sarcastic tone.

"Nope your Cinderella is ready...nothing a good night's kip won't sort out".

"Good good...nice to hear that...anyway Geet go to sleep and make sure your there by 1pm okay?"

"Hmmm...good night Maan".

"Night night".

Geet began preparing for her first date. She began choosing her clothes, her shoes and what jewellery she would wear. Maan began going through his wardrobe looking for something casual yet stylish. Both were nervous and excited to meet each other.
