Do women still get treated like this in housholds, where men are seen more superior?

I honestly don't know how to reply to this. I keep writing things, and then deleting it.

All I have to say is that Gala household is ridiculous. It's a shame Mohan is in all this trouble. He really could have tried to get a good job and moved them all the hell out of Baapji's grip.

That household is suffocating.

Aparently if they are showing that it is still happening. Hopefully the reason to show this is to educate those families-because I feel that Baapji will realize or learn or accept whatever that is that Baapji does and things will change for the better. I think that is where the show is going...a lot of changes have to happen in the Galla household not just -treatment of women chnage!
Isn't it that the both parties are at fault the one who is abusive and the one who takes it!
The rest of the household especially Baapji's two sons have to stand up to him

I do not think so. I have seen my mom was doing certain things like cover her head and eat after men. But not any more now actually Gujarati are more flexible than anybody so I basically dislike Baapji

The eating after men, I've experienced it too. But not like this. The basic point is just that the server(s) make sure that everyone's had their share of food, and is going to fine. And then start eating.

Never have all of the women just completely waited for the men to finish eating and leave. And then and only then start their eating.🤢

But cultures are different, cities are different, families are different, households are different.

Baapji is really a sick old man with alot of issues with women. But the real
culprit is Bhanu and the rest of the men who listen to Baabji and not defend Saroj.
The Galla household is not avery happy place.
