Angela Jonsson has been trying her luck in Bollywood for quite some time now. She has been in the news for several reasons, primarily her link-up with Ranbir Kapoor. But that seems to have fizzled out. Now the former swimsuit calendar model will finally be seen on the silver screen, thanks to resident godfather Salman Khan.
She has reportedly bagged the role of the female lead in Sallu's next film Sher Khan with brother Sohail. Salman, sources say, was keen to have either his ex-girlfriend and current co-star of Ek Tha Tiger, Katrina Kaif or a completely new female lead for Sher Khan. Since Katrina would be working with Salman for the next six months on Ek Tha Tiger, it seemed more practical to have a new face opposite him for Sher Khan. And Angela, who had been waiting for a long time for a break, was the lucky girl selected. We wonder if it is the Ranbir connection that got Sallu interested in Angela. After all, post her break-up with Salman, Kat reportedly was dating Ranbir! Is it tit for tat?
Meanwhile Angela will have to undergo rigorous training in martial arts and action skills to get into her athletic character. Apparently, director Sohail has roped in special international trainers to get the debutante actress ready for her role.
