Sanju wants Sonika to smell fart!!!

As Bigg Boss completes its first week and Charles Sobhraj"s 22-year old wife becomes the first Housemate to get evicted, the reality show is getting bolder (or should we say repulsive?) by the day.

It can be recalled that a few days ago, Housemate Shakti Kapoor narrated an incident of a film shoot for a Sanjay Dutt movie a few years ago. He told fellow contestant Sonika Kaliraman Malik that while filming a scene, Sanjay hugged his heroine tight and she let out a big fart. (Eeks!)

Shakti added that later, Sanju baba held a special private screening for 20 select friends and showed the scene to them, after which they all had a good laugh and clapped at the expense of the heroine.

As if something as repelling as this was not enough to be shown on national television, in the Aapka Farmaan episode this weekend, Sanjay Dutt not only acknowledged the incident, but went a step further, telling Sonika that he will show her the fart clipping. "Dikhaaoonga nahin, soongaaonga bhi" (Will not only show it to you, will make you smell it too), he said.

"Bigg Boss is the biggest and best reality show India has ever seen. The programme is watched by millions of all age groups, all over the country. Though the programme is shifted to a late night slot this year, the language could be moderated a bit more," remarks Bigg Boss specialist Dale Bhagwagar, who has handled the publicity for some of the most controversial participants on reality shows, including Shilpa Shetty in Big Brother, Rakhi Sawant, Kashmera Shah, Sherlyn Chopra and Ashmit Patel in Bigg Boss.

Bhagwagar, who has over the years, maintained that Bigg Boss is not obscene, seems to be cautious this time round. But the big question is: Are Indian families ready for such language on television? Does it suit Indian sensibilities? Is such language an insult to womanhood? Can Indian women be made fun of in the name of entertainment?
