Sony acquires rights of Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna for Rs. 8 crores?
Another buzz going around in the industry was that the music rights for Karan Johar's magnum opus Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna was bought by none other than Sony music for a whopping Rs. 8 crores. We spoke to Vishal Patel from Dharma Productions who confirmed the news. "Yes, Sony has bought the rights for Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna but the price stated is not accurate. I would not like to divulge into that.'
Sony has always acquired the rights of all of Karan Johar's films right from Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, Kal Ho Na Ho to Kaal.
The film stars Amitabh Bachchan, Shahrukh Khan, Rani Mukherjee, Preity Zinta, Abhishek Bachchan and Arjun Rampal.
Rani & Kajol make it happen for Karan
Kajol and Rani Mukerji are Karan Johar's lucky mascots and must make an appearance in every film that he makes. It's no different in his latest "Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna".
According to insiders, Kajol will appear in a song along with Amitabh and Abhishek Bachchan in the much-anticipated film that stars Shah Rukh Khan, Preity Zinta and Rani.
The special song is scheduled to be shot in July with the other three key players in the film.
Earlier, Rani and a pregnant Kajol appeared fleetingly in the very popular "Mahi Ve" song in Johar's love story "Kal Ho Naa Ho" with Shah Rukh, Saif Ali Khan and Preity.
Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehnaa trailer in theatres soon

Movie buffs don't have to wait much longer to get a glimpse of one of the most awaited films of the year, Karan Johar's multi-starrer Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehnaa.
Sources at Dharma Productions have confirmed that the trailer of the film will be showcased with the Aamir-Kajol starrer Fanaa that releases on May 26.
It is a two-minute trailer of the movie that Yash Raj Films are releasing worldwide. The film starring Amitabh Bachchan, Shahrukh Khan, Rani Mukherjee, Preity Zinta, Abhishek Bachchan and Arjun Rampal hits theatres in early August.
There are also talks that glimpses of Kabul Express and a 30 second trailer of Dhoom II, will be shown along with Fanaa. However, there is no official confirmation on this, so let's wait and watch.
