So Daksh has finishd d story, nd they r stil out in the patio lekin standing under this tree ka shade now...

N : Acha to vakil saheb, ek din me sab solv kar di apne...

D : [ smiles ] Ha.

N : [ tweaks his nose ] Kal tak kaha the aap?

D : Kal tak tumhe khone ka darr nahi tha...tum mere sath thi.

N : [ chokes up ] Daksh...

D : Pata he Naina, wo train jab choot gayi...EK pal ke liye mujhe laga ki mene tumhe kho diya [ strokes her face gently ]...aise laga jaise...jaise dhadkane ruk gayi ho meri...

Naina ke ankhen bhar ati he, and she cuts him off. "Pls daksh..."

He takes her hand down, laces his fingers with hers.

D : Tabhi mene thaan li thi ki tumhe vapis le aunga, 24 ghante mene usike sahare kaat di...Lekin Naina, us ek pal ke liye me kitna khudkars ho gaya tha...[ takes her face in his hands ] Mene ye nahi socha tha ki agar meri jaan nikal rahi he, to meri Naina ki...

Ab to daksh ke bhi ankhen r all brimmed up...

Naina closes her eyes; the tears run down. He brushes them off, infinitely gentle, infinitely tender...drops a kiss on one eyelid, then another...And they are lost in each other's eyes...

The maid comes and calls them in for dinner; Naina urges her and her mom to go ahead.

Anjali comes out to call her then, sees them in the same posture...and she comes up with this brilliant idea...Dakshna eat out in the patio...[ ho sake to candles bhi lagva deti me😍...chalo, starlight se adjust karva denge😊 ]...

Naina and daksh are out in the lawn after dinner. Daksh has his head in her lap😍, eyes closed.

N : [ runs her hand through his hair ] Daksh...

D : Hmm.

N : Ayi se sach me tumne char sentenc se zyada kuch nahi kaha...? Yaha akar bhi...?

D : Nahi. Flight se utar kar mene akruti ko ph kiya tha, usne bata dia hoga.

N : [ chiding ] Kp.

D : [ laughs gently ] Tumhare bina to me KP hi hu. Vaise bat to mene kisi se bhi nahi ki thi...

N : Sivay sonakshi aur mr. Joshi ke.

D : [ laughs again ] Ha.

N : tumne use thappad mara...?

D : Ha... [ no replies to that, so he looks up ] Kam pad gaye na...me janta tha. Ek kam karte he, kal subhe ki flight pe vapis jate he, aur baki ka tum de dena use...

N : Nahi daksh.

D : [ frowns ] Kyu?

N : [ smiles ] Vapis jayenge to train me jayenge...

D : theek he...[ closes his eyes again, content to be ]. Naina...

N : Ha daksh?

D : Phir kabhi mere sath aise mat karna.

N : [ still playing with his hair, thodi si lost ] Kaise...

D : Akele. Train pe. Agli bar muje sath nahi liya, to dekhna...

N : [ smiles ] Daksh...kal waha jaye...?

D : 16 A ?

N : Ha. Tumhe yad he, us din hamne kaha tha ki sab theek hone ke bad ham waha jayenge...

He sits up. "Tumse judi koi bat me kabhi bhool sakta hu? Ham kal jayenge. Tumhari fav seat par hi baithenge. Ticket iss bar bhi me lunga. Kyu?"

She smiles at that. He holds out his arm for her, she ducks under it, then scoots in closer, the better to listen to the beat of his heart, and they spend some time that way, not needing words now, completely in synch with each other...

After a while, Daksh speaks up again.

D : Tare gin rahi ho?

Naina gives up staring at the night sky and smiles at him.

D : Answer galat niklega. Ek kam hogi.

N : [ smiles; she knos whats comin😊 ] Kyu?

D : Kyunki ek yaha mere pas baithi he [ head-butt...😍ah, i kno. i misd t 2...]

But the smile goes too soon.

D : Akruti ki fikar ho rahi he.

N : [ nods ] Ayush...Mene tumse pehle bhi kaha tha ki uss rishte me kuch to khatak rahi he...

D : Janta hu. Ye bhi janta hu ki ek din me koi sudhar nahi jata, lekin ek akhri mauka to hum ayush ko de sakte he.[ half to himself ] Agar kuch aur hua, to Ayush ko me dekh lunga.

N : [ takes his hand ] Hum dekh lenge.

He places his hand over hers; eye lock, and a smile...

The breeze is cooler now, its tipping towards cold, and its getting late...

N : Daksh, andar chale...? Rat bahot ho chuki he.

He nods. Gets up, offers her his hand.

N : Daksh, tum ab bhi ayi se naraz ho...?

D : [ slowly ] nahi.

N : Phon kar lo...ayi pareshan hogi...kab se tumne theek se bat bhi nahi ki he ayi se.

D : [ smiles ] Kar lunga. Ab chale?

He raises their joined hands to his lips, kisses hers. She smiles into his eyes, nd Naina ke naino me he all her love for her Daksh...He smiles back.

And so, the cool breeze and the assorted music of a beautiful night, the starlit sky for a backdrop, they walk in hand-in-hand, a silent promise to be together, humesha nd forever..
