What do you think of TV actors and their fitness and health?
Nowadays, most actors have become very conscious about their fitness and health. I have seen and heard many well known actors and even second leads arguing with their creatives about going to gym. According to me, an actor must always concentrate on his work first. And as for staying healthy, it is important to have a good sleep for five to six hours.
What is your fitness regime?
At the moment, I really don't follow any fitness regime though I love to go gymming. Due to my hectic shooting schedule, I am not doing any exercises but concentrating on a balanced diet and sleep, which I feel is important to stay healthy.
Is it tough being an actor, working in a soap and maintaining a healthy body?
Oh yes, it is very difficult for any actor to have a fit body, work continuously and then to go to the gym. I believe that a healthy body is derived from your genes and so its 60% genetic and 40% work out and diet.
Which is more compromised- eating habits or working out because of your schedule?
As actors we compromise with working out. Sometimes it really gets hectic while shooting and we don't find time for a workout. I believe if you are not working out on the regular basis then one must avoid late night parties.
What kind of diet do you follow?
My diet is simple but rich in vitamins, proteins. I don't eat junk or street food. I believe healthy food is a home cooked meal. My diet includes boiled eggs without yolk, fish, soybean, fresh salads, porridge etc.
What would you suggest to people regarding fitness?
Please don't ignore your fitness. Get a good 6 hours sleep, drink lots of water, have small meals every two hours, eat fruits but bananas only early in the morning.
