The morning arrives, and Daksh as usual is sitting alone at the dining table. The doting mother rushes back and forth from the kitchen table to the dining table, and places a mug of coffee on his table and tells him, she will bring his breakfast. She brings a plate of beaten rice, and serves him. Daksh does not look up, but takes the mug and raises it to his mouth, and as he takes the first sip, he looks to his side, and sees a smiling Naina, and he is pleased and drinks the coffee. Again when he looks at Naina, she is not there, and he feels depressed. Later he gets up and goes, and his mother notices and says, "Chintu, you have not had your breakfast" but he does not pay attention to his mother.
This serial may have appeared to have gone off the track, but now I realize that they intended it, just to wrench our hearts, at the degree to which certain people can go to get their ends, and when people live in their own worlds, not realizing what happens elsewhere or in other people's minds, we get into situations like these, and perhaps that was the intention of the producers who have maintained their high production quality throughout, to draw our attention to this fact, that they have introduced characters like Rohini and Sonakshi. Even her own parents, are shown to be living in a dream world, while their daughter is taking a devious path.
The scene shifts to the peaceful surroundings of Darjeeling. Anjali is in her room, and her maid, Radha goes to call her for the meals, and she tells her to serve herself, as she will wait for Naina who has not yet come back, even as it is turning dark, and the sun is setting in the mountains. Naina wrapped up in a shawl, is gently walking along the hilly countryside, enveloped in ther own thoughts, as the cool breeze brushes against her warm cheeks. Any one who sees her and knows what she is going through, will shed a tear or two, and feel the emotions she is going through.
Back at the Patwardhan home, Daksh is alone in his bed, thinking of his Naina, and all the tragic events that came interrupting their love, towards meeting of the hearts, the cruel selfishness of the two women who happened to cross their path. Suddenly he senses, someone walking in the corridor, and he gets up, with the words, "Naina" on his lips and opens the door, looking for her, but a lonely Akruti is going to her room, and she turns back, and sees her cousin's sad face, and their gaze says everything without exchanging a single word. Daksh, turns his head and sees the lock on Naina's door, and accepts the fact that she is no more with them, but has been sent away by his beloved mother, whose sense of justice has been waylaid, by a woman like Sonakshi, without her knowing it. Daksh goes back to his room, but can not get sleep, and finally, he falls into a slumber, restless and agitated.
Rohini can not sit idle, and rings Sonakshi, and says, that Daksh is forlorn and missing Naina, and she should hit the iron when it is hot, and get ready for the marriage, and there is no time to waste. Then, she asks, how she managed to get rid of the video. Sonakshi tells her that she watched both of them, and wondered how the video got recorded. She tells Rohini, that had it been shown to his parents, it would have been a definite noose round their necks, sending them to the gallows. She tells how her teary acting persuaded Ayee to hand over the key to Naina's room, and she got the video erased. Rohini compliments on her thinking as well as her superb ability to act. Sonakshi feels proud of herself. This is a warning to parents, to find out the friends of their children, who subvert them, when they do not pay attention to what is happening in their lives. They are content, to shower them with all material goodies, but no moral back up.
Next morning in Darjeeling, Radha and Anjali tip toe to Naina's room. The previous night, when Naina came back from her walk, she was very tired, and her mother sensed that something was wrong. She tried to wriggle out the truth out of her. When she asked about the Patwardans, there was no reaction, but as soon as she mentioned about Daksh, the floodgates opened, and she burst out into tears, in her mother's lap, crying her heart out. Anjali felt like a mother, an emotion, she had supressed for so long. She caressed her hair, and tenderly asked her to calm herself. She put her to bed, and when she came back in the morning they found Naina fast asleep. Naina had never known this tender care of a loving mother in her entire life. She wakes up to a new feeling. The two older women, decided to come back later, but Naina moves the bed covering from her, and raises herself, and this thrills the mother and the maid who come running to her, and make her get up. She was sleeping in Anjali's room, since she asked to sleep with her in the night. Anjali and Radha had a surprise for Naina. They wrapped her eyes with a bandana, and took her to her room and removed it once she was in it. Naina opened her eyes, and they fell on the family group photo of herself, with her father and mother. Her face lit with joy, and when she turned to look at her mothers, her eyes gazed on the photographs of the family hanging on the walls. The mother said to her, "Dear, when bad things happen, we have to let go, and move on. We are supported by the good and healthy memories, that remain with us. These will take us forward" and Naina agrees with that sentiment. She is now getting ready to start her new life. Sometime later, Radha comes in with something in her hand and gives it to Anjali. She tells Naina, to get ready, as they have bought tickets for the Toy Train, which is a meter guage train, going through the Himalayas. She tells her that they have reserved the seat 16A for her, and Naina gets a flash back of Daksh, who sat on the seat on that eventful day, long time back, when they met for the first time. They get ready and leave the house for their train expedition. A change of mood and environment, to heal Naina's broken heart.
In Mumbai, Rohini is sitting at the dining table, with her father and mother in law for breakfast. Sridhar Kaka too is sitting there, and Rohini starts telling her parents, that they have to think seriously about Daksh. Kaka, says that he agrees, and is pleased to see this girl has taken the contract to sort out problems in the family. He asks her to help him too, in finding a replacement paying guest, and gives a smirk to irritate Rohini. Daksh passes by, and his mother says, "Chintu", with anxiety on her face, "come for breakfast." He replies, "I am not hungry. I have work to do" and he moves towards the stairway. The father interjects, "But Daksh, today is Sunday." He tells him, "I know that. I am working from home." and he leaves them, worried at what might be going through his mind.
They hear the main door bell ring, and Rohini attempts to rise, but her over zealous mother in law, offers to do the needful, and invites the guests, Joshi, his wife and Sonakshi. Rohini feels a quiet elation on the success of her intervention. They take the seat, and the Patwardans too exchange polite conversation. The father says, "Mr Joshi, you should forgive our mistake." Mr. Joshi, pontificates from his high position he has taken, and tells them. "I do not know, how you all gave so much leniency to an outsider, to interfere in your internal affairs. If I was in your place, I would have been hard on her from the beginning." He continues looking longingly at his daughter, "I do not know, how much my daughter has been hurt by all this. She is ready to forget and forgive." Supriya just watches them, when they speak so rudely about Naina, whom she has a deep inner feeling which tells her, that she is the long lost daughter she left with Diwakar Bardhwaj, long ago, but without definite proof, she does not want to open her mouth. As they are discussing about the marriage, and want to fix a date, as early as possible, Daksh happens to pass by, and wants to know what they are talking about. He asks, "Whose marriage are you talking about?" Joshi, tries to be accomodating and with a condescending smile, tells Daksh that they have forgiven him for his indiscretions. He tells him, "It was nice of you to say sorry to Sonakshi, when you came a few days back." He gets a nod of approval from the Patwardhan family, and gets bolder, and says, "My daughter may be a generous girl to forgive your mistake. But I have never forgiven you." Daksh is annoyed at his arrogance, and asks him straight to his face, "What mistake are you speaking about, Mr. Joshi, and which apology are you referring to." Sonakshi squirms in her seat, and Supriya starts suspecting foul play from her daughter, as her husband hurls invectives on the girl who is not present, Naina Bardhwaj. - Daughter of Diwakar, may be thinks, Supriya in her own mind. The scene ends here, but this is justg a preview of what to expect on Monday.
In the precap, we see Supriya making a private call to the Bardhwaj residence, and asks to speak to Naina Bardhwaj, but is told that they are out. Poor Supriya, what a dilemma.
