Sony's fight against male-dominance
Sony seems to have taken it upon itself to rid the society of male dominance. Thodi Khushi Thode Gham has the protaognist Sneha protesting against her father-in-law Manukhlal's archaic views on women. Now, Vaidehi which launches on Sony from June 5, takes the thought forward with the newly-married Vaidehi fighting for her rights in a male-dominated sasural. Vaidehi is shown to be a simple middle-class girl married to Aryan, one of the richest men in the world. Only when she enters the household does she realise that things are not hunky dory and there are certain systems which she doesn't agree with. The one-hour serial will be aired every Monday at 10 pm.
