Chai-Town A Cappella was formed at the University of Illinois, when a group of young men came together with their love for music. They wanted to show how two seemingly different cultures can fuse together to produce something great. This vision has grown into Chai-Town A Cappella.
As one of the country's premiere Hindi-English A Cappella groups, Chai-Town has gone on to perform across the nation from New York to California. Recently Chai-Town won WILL-TV's A Cappella Beatdown and placed at the national a cappella competition, Anahat. It is our hope, that with these accomplishments, we are just getting started.
As you may know, Chai Town is entering its 10th year, making us one of the oldest South Asian Acappella groups in the country! Along with this, we are on our way to producing our 3rd studio album and we have some very big things planned. As always, the CD will push old boundaries as well as dive into new unknown territory and we will deliver nothing but an amazing product. However, we can't do it without your help!
