Pawan as Ajit:Pawan fans do read

After 'Siddhant', Pawan Shankar will be seen playing the main lead opposite Soumya Tandon in Sony's daily soap 'Aisa Des Hai Mera'.


In the episode to be aired on Thursday, Pawan Shankar will make a grand entry as the dashing Canada returned Ajit Singh Gill.

The character of Ajit Singh Gill wears many hats. He has been a DJ, is currently a farmer and a Sports coach who also plays the flute.

Pawan is the love interest of Rusty (Soumya Tandon), who has come to Punjab in search of her roots. Incidentally, Ajit has also come from Canada to pause for breath from his high profile lifestyle.

Ajit and Rusty meet by chance and strike up a friendship whereby Ajit not only becomes Rusty's pillar of strength but is also instrumental in helping her find acceptance with her father's family.

Pawan is riding high on his popularity with the masses and looking at various projects including an anchoring program, the concept and format of which promises to be unique. Guess we will just have to wait and watch!
