The party was in full swing when there was a murmur and a tall, dark, handsome, well dressed man strolled in through the door with an attitude as if he owned the world. Every one rushed to meet and greet him wanting to congratulate him on the achievement of "The Most Innovative Entrepreneur" Award awarded by the international construction industries from all over the world. People clamored to reach him. There was such a frenzy that people watching from far could not understand what was happening in the center. But the man, whom people wanted to see, was searching for that one person closest to his heart.

His eyes roamed across the hall searching. Finding that person, he immediately went across and bent down touching her feet. And that person, to whom he bowed, was none other than Savitri Devi.

"Dadima", Maan said.

"Maan, how are you beta"?

"I am fine. Thanks, Dadima."

"How was your trip?"

"OK"

"How was your journey?"

"It was long and tiring."

Maan Singh Khurana was a man of few words. He never ever willingly talked with anyone on his own, but always replied pleasantly when asked. After replying to a few more questions by Dadima he glanced across the hall for the most boisterous crowd in the hall from where the most chatter and laughter could be heard. As he sauntered across the hall he could hear the teasing going across the group, the group which consisted of Adi, Pinky, Geet, Dev, Naintara, Meera, Vicky Pari and Sameera, Sasha and Tasha.

"So tell me Geet, who was that man with you?" Vicky teased Geet.

"About whom are you talking, Vicky?" Geet asked

"Tell us Geet, was he your new boyfriend?" Meera sided with Vicky in teasing her.

"Meera, tu bhi na, kis ki baaton mein aagayi?"

"But Geet woh to tera deewana hai." Vicky could not help, but pull her leg.

"Hai re Babaji! (Looking up) in logon ko kab akal aayegi. Are yaar, woh toh mera boss hai na."

"Boss hai toh kya hua, hai toh insaan aur tera deewana." everyone started laughing and teasing Geet more hearing Pinky's words.

And Geet could do nothing except blush. Luckily for Geet, the person about whom everyone was teasing her about was busy with someone else.

Everyone knew how innocent and nave Geet was. Though she was bubbly and jolly by nature, she was no stranger to tragedy but she was not a girl who would dwell on the unpleasant thoughts for long. She chatted away jovially making plans to play harmless pranks on each and everybody. She would make people laugh and hide the pain within. In all this her partner in crime would be Vicky. Vicky being Dev's and Maan's younger brother, but was totally opposite in nature to both of them. Meera was her best friend and had studied with her in college. Though Meera was a very good friend still Geet hid a secret from her. Pinky, a bubbly girl, was always munching on something or the other. Geet had immediately felt comfortable and an instant connection with her. She had met Pinky in her office on the first day itself. From that day onwards Pinky was the one she would run to if she faced any problems in the office. Though Adi was her colleague, but being a nice human had become her friend who always supported and corrected her when she made any mistakes in the office. As they both were in love with Maan, Pari and Sameera never saw eye to eye with each other. Sasha and Tasha worked in the KC. Naintara was just a casual friend of Geet, which left one person in the group Geet was hesitant to talk about though everyone knew about her crush on him, who incidentally was also her boss.

Just then they saw a person approaching their group. That person was none other than THE MAAN SINGH KHURANA.

As Maan approached this boisterous group his excitement knew no bounds. He could feel his heart beating very fast. His palms became sweaty and he felt a nervousness which he had never felt before. There was someone in this group who had stolen his heart. He was secretly in love with her. But he could never gather the courage to tell her about his feelings for her.

She jumped up in joy seeing him. She could not contain herself and rushed to give him a hug. But before she could take a step forward everyone jumped on to Maan.

"Congrats, Bro. What an amazing feat you have achieved!" Dev congratulated him when Maan reached the group.

"Yes, Bro congrats for winning that award." said Vicky

Geet congratulated Maan. 'Congrats' Maan, saying this she gave him a hug. Adi and Pinky also joined in to give their congratulations. Before Maan could utter a word, Meera took his hand and shaking it, congratulated him, "Congratulations Maan". Naintara being a reserved type of a person passed on her congrats to Maan in her soft voice.

When it was Pari's turn to wish Maan, Sameera distracted him and engaged him in talks about business which made Pari fume with anger at her. Pari hated Sameera and never wanted her to come to Khurana Mansion but it was not in her hands to allow or not allow anyone, but she waited for the day when she would be the mistress of the Mansion and have that authority to chuck Sameera out.
