Gauri called the haveli because she knows that if people keep cutting off ties with him, then Jagya will subconsciously start holding Gauri responsible for his an-ban with the family... even though it is irrational... the thought that will come to him again and again is "it is because of my relationship with gauri that they dont want me"...
and suddenly he may one day decide that if caught in an either/or situation -- then he wants his family and not gauri.
Gauri is trying to get his family to accept him as her own insurance policy.
If the singh's start talking to him, then he has no reason to feel that Gauri is a liability.
To avoid that, she is trying to manufacture an 'and' situation -- so in his mind he will feel that he has both family AND gauri... and will not subconsciously resent gauri (however irrational)... and wont be in a situation where he feels the need to leave her for his family.
