Akshara's Corner: Anniversary celebrations and more.

Hello friends, the past week was full of myriad emotions from sadness over Avi's departure to celebrations of my second marriage anniversary.
In short, I went through various moods and emotions over the week and none of them were pregnancy related. Here's a complete lowdown.
It was heartbreaking to see Avi, the little boy who was lost and I had found him outside our house. Saying goodbye to him once his parents found him, was not easy. I wish he could be with me for longer. While leaving, Avi gave me a morpankh (peacock feather), which I have kept as a reminder of the adorable kid. Friends, the time that I spent with Avi was precious this made me realize that these moments will never return. I have now developed a new habit, I have begun noting down all my experiences during pregnancy in a diary. This will be a gift to Naitik and my would-be child.
Unfortunately later there was some sad news. Gayatri Ma's maasi passed away and she had to leave for her maasi's place. Gayatri Ma was worried about who would look after me and Bhabhi Ma since she too wasn't keeping well, in her absence. It came as a surprise when she requested Ma to come over and stay with us till she returns.
Although, I was happy that Ma will be staying with me I was also had some apprehensions. I wondered about how Ma will adjust in our family and I was especially worried for my parents who have never stayed apart. I knew that she would definitely miss Bauji a lot and I questioned if she was hiding her pain for my sake.
I could also understand that she would feel awkward to suddenly live with a new family in a different home- and more so as it was her daughter's in-laws' house. Not just that, I also wondered how my parental family will manage as they are hugely dependent on Ma. I also pondered over what repercussions Ma's staying over will have in my sasural. In short, I thought a lot whether Ma's coming over was the right decision or not.
Anyway, Ma came to stay with us and as Bauji dropped her I could see the sadness in their eyes. It is cute to see that my parents still love each other so much, after years of marriage. An emotional Bauji told me that Ma and I are his life and this really left me touched. I promised to send Ma back home as soon as Bhabhi Ma's health gets better. It is nice of Ma that she is so concerned about me and is wiling to look after me but cannot bear to see Ma and Bauji sad being away from each other.
I know that Ma cannot sit idle and as expected she immediately started helping with the work in the house. This made Naitik uncomfortable but I explained to him that Ma loves keeping herself occupied all the time. I realized that Ma was feeling uncomfortable in our house after she offered some money to Naitik because she will be staying with us. Naitik and I refused to accept it and I decided to make an attempt to make Ma feel at home by spending some time with her.
The good news this week was that it was Naitik and my wedding anniversary. However, the surprises began in advance. Naitik got me some candies and also decorated the room with scented candles but the best gift was that he got the sonography report of our child framed, so that I will always have it with me.
I was very excited and wondered if Naitik has planned so much in advance, he will definitely have something wonderful planned on our anniversary. However, as the day came closer I began to feel that Naitik has forgotten about our anniversary. That was definitely a disappointment but I pretended as if I have forgotten the occasion too. In reality, I was busy planning a special surprise for Naitik. We celebrated at midnight with gusto as Nandini didi, Mohit, Reshmi, Nikhlji and Varsha came over.
Unfortunately, things did not turn out exactly as planned. The delivery of my gift got delayed and I ended up giving Naitik an empty box at midnight. I somehow convinced Naitik to open the gift only the next morning. I knew that he was disappointed but I am glad that my idea worked. Thankfully the gift arrived in the morning and Naitik did not find out about the goof up. Naitik and I had a fun quiz session where I got him to recall memories of the past and I must say he fared quite well. I was impressed.
Friends, I have to say that this anniversary turned out to be more adventurous than expected but here's to many more. I hope that Naitik and I remain much in love even when we grow old and we celebrate our anniversary with our children and grandchildren. I actually started watching your show in 'star vijay tv' in tamil [uravugal thodar kadhai].I liked you so much. Your acting is just marvelous. Then I searched about you on net and then I started watching all your shows in net. I do not know hindi but still I see your show in hindi and read the update the next day[as i couldn't understand hindi. You and Natik are the best couple.

I also go to secondary school, and get a lot of homework. So to be honest I don't get much time to watch you. I'm currently doing my A-Levels and working extremely hard to get into University to study medicine. Though my ultimate dream is to become an actress like you. I think you are really great. I wish that one day I do get to meet you.
