Or maybe you'll simply have to watch as someone else swoops in and sweeps them off their feet. These are the stars who are currently single in the city. Yeah we know Valentine's Day has come and gone, but thankfully love stays in fashion all year round. So go get them, we say...

The Ladies Man - Shahid Kapoor
Yes the cutie pie actor is single. But knowing his track record, it may not be for long. So any plans to impress, attract or seduce must be put in action pronto. The actor split with Priyanka Chopra apparently and has somehow managed not to be linked with anyone since then, it's been about three months. Who's next Sasha?

Previous girlfriends: A five-year relationship with Kareena Kapoor that went kaput during Jab We Met. Ex link-ups like Sania Mirza,Vidya Balan and Deepika Padukone are now taken and Amrita Rao seems to have dropped off the face of the earth. But no one has ever admitted to anything.

Dating tip: If you do snag a date with Sasha, you may not want to ask him why none of his girlfriends want to admit to him except Kareena. You may also want to steer away from how he manages to get linked with practically every girl he works with. Concentrate on how he got those fab abs or his brilliant dance moves or talk about the weather (Mausam) and you may have a chance.

Love Me Do - Katrina Kaif

She's single yet again. And while we don't know if she is ready to mingle, we do know she has suddenly become all the more attractive (if that's possible) thanks to her current relationship status. So the rumour goes that Ranbir Kapoor who was so into her, was also into his Rockstar co-star Nargis Fakri and so the Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani couple called it quits. Rumours also indicated that Kat didn't take the breakup too well and even suffered a minor breakdown of sorts. But she is back to being her saucy cheerful self. Here's your chance guys, and it may well be the only one.

Previous boyfriends: Salman Khan. As unpredictable and oscillating as all of Khan's earlier relationships and even though it didn't end too well, they are going to work together in Kabir Khan's Ek Tha Tiger. Also, a reported affair with John Abraham.

Dating tip: If you go on a date with Kat you might want to never bring up names like Ranbir Kapoor and Salman Khan. And you're likely to win brownie points if you are someone who has never dated Deepika Padukone or Nargis Fakri. Rest is rule book stuff.

It's Rainin' Men - Bipasha Basu
So when some prankster stole the sultry siren's cellphone and sent out a text message that she is 'single and available' he didn't know that would soon be a reality. B-town's sexiest couple recently called it quits and Bipasha has even admitted in print that she isn't seeing John Abraham anymore. Despite various hiccups at many stages they seemed to be a rock solid couple for 10 years but now it's all over. And she seems to be pretty happy in the company of Hollywood hunk Josh Hartnet.

Previous boyfriends: Before John Abraham there was Dino Morea with whom she went steady for a bit. Milind Soman during her modelling days. And then there was that really strong link-up with Saif Ali Khan while they were filming Race.

Dating tip: Don't let it slip that your mother thinks John Abraham is dishy. And definitely don't bring up current hot topics like the nefarious activities of politicians. Tell her you work out to her fitness DVD
every morning. And drool over pictures of Poshto, her Chihuahua.

Addicted To Love - Priyanka Chopra

The one with more than a million fans on Twitter is ready to be wooed again. So we hear. She is said to have split with her now on, now off beau Shahid Kapoor. The couple apparently couldn't live with or without each other. The constant yo yoing is said to have taken a toll on their relationship. While it seemed pretty evident on Koffee With Karan that they shared a little more than just onscreen chemistry and screenspace, they were pointedly ambivalent about their equation. But soon after Saat Khoon Maaf tanked, PC fled to New York to lick her wounds and we hear it was also matters of the broken heart that led her there. Well, the good news is she is single. For now. Get set go!

Previous boyfriends: Harman Baweja. They went steady for about four years but split after their film Love Story 2050, sank like the Titanic. They still speak fondly of each other though and leave us to read between the lines about their relationship. Right till the end. She also dated model turned entreprenuer Aseem Bajaj during her pre movie days. And of course the mandatory link-ups with Akshay Kumar and Ranbir Kapoor.

Dating tip: If you are going to pick dinner and movie, we suggest you stay away from Vishal Bhardwaj's last two outings-Kaminey and Saat Khoon Maaf. And of course Anjaana Anjaani. Also asking her if Akshay Kumar was a 'good friend' may not be a bright idea. Talking about Shah Rukh Khan is.

What Women Want - John Abraham
Sit down. Take a deep breath. Yes it's true, the one who is almost as sexy as his butt, is unattached. Boys and girls, John Abraham is said to have split with longtime girlfriend Bipasha. We assume the reason is 'irreconcilable differences.' And while the handsome hunk is regularly linked up with many women, this is the first time in years that he is single and hopefully ready to mingle.

Previous girlfriends: Before Bipasha came along there was the petite Riya Sen. And then the link-ups with Vidya Balan, Katrina Kaif and now there is a small rippling rumour about his friendship with Deepika Padukone.

Dating tip: Here's your chance to get the hunk to put back the pillion seat on his bike so you could wax eloquent on his abs. Maybe you do not want to discuss his craft or method. And if you love Malayalee and Parsee food (since he is half Parsi half Mallu), your stock will be high for sure.

The eternal bad boy. Girls gravitate towards Salman Khan like moths to a flame and the rest is usually tabloid history. Salman's track record with women has been interesting not to mention sometimes a little disturbing. And for one he seems to have a thing for the really gorgeous ones. The 40 plus superstar is still single and there are still women throwing themselves at him. Recently he has been linked with the likes of Asin, Zarine Khan, Sonakshi Sinha and Kangna Ranaut. So we are guessing no one's really complaining. And his defence if he cares to have one, would be his current chartbuster we are guessing, 'Main karoon toh saala character dheela hai.

Is that an affair, a fling or a relationship? It's Ranbir Kapoor
at work. With the women. The Kapoor wonderkid seems to be currently having a rash of flings one after the other. It's really hard to pin him down and it's definitely impossible to guess what he really wants. So first it was a link up with Sonam Kapoor his Saawariya costar. Then there was the steady and very public relationship with Deepika Padukone. Then not too steady and not too public one with Katrina Kaif and now rumours are linking him with Nargis Fakri and also model Angela Jonsson. We are watching the space and the space is changing really fast.
