This would be such a fantastic present for Gopi. If he puts up her parent's picture it also represents another step in the relationship. In putting up her parents picture, giving it a permanent place in the room, its saying that Gopi is a permanent part of his life.

I hope he notices how different Gopi and Rashi are treated by Urmila and come to realize that Gopi never got mother's love until she came to Modi family and his mom took Gopi under her wings.
