I agree the CV's have started writing like they used to. I don't know what happened but from after Holi things went down hill, with the sandook track and bhoot track (though I actually liked Switzerland part). Maybe they changed writers and when it didn't work brought the old ones back.
I think SNS is far better when the whole family is involved. The men are just as important to make the epi's fun and interesting.

Sandook served a purpose, in the beginning Rashi was more interested in the Sandook then in Gopi and Aham, though they were being thrown together, she didn't do any kalakari to get Gopi thrown out of the room did she? Her eyes were firmly on the prize, and when she won it, the result was also good for GoHam as Naani made Kokila realise that Aham hasn't accepted Gopi and the first relationship of a daughter-in-law is her husband, not in-laws. This was an important lesson for the character of Kokila (before she didn't see the need of making him accept Gopi, only to command him, now she cajoles and manipulates situations to make him act as a husband...LOL).

Bhoot also served a valuable purpose to Gopi and Rashi's relationship, Gopi has learnt that when Rashi gives advise pertaining to Aham not to take that advise and that her despite her lack of education understands her relationship with her husband more then Rashi does. In Gopi's quiet way I think she knows deep down Rashi didn't forgive her for marrying Aham, the older son that was originally supposed to be her husband, but his mother rejected her, she feels the hostility is covered up in plots to reunite Aham to her, but these plots have no chance of ever rectifying the situation with Aham. Kokila has told her to be patient and that's how she is playing it with him now, she won't act but is waiting for Aham to act instead.

I agree that both tracks served a purpose that helped Gohem but the actual scripts were frustrating at times to watch. There was far too mush Urshi kalakari's and they were given too much screen time for my liking. For me the epi's were not interesting and the tracks were slow to progress. Previous tracks have been fun to watch and even the kalakri's were amusing. The current track has been great and progressed at a good pace.
