Mother nature has been quite angry on the east coast this past week. Earlier this week the east coast was shaken by a rare earthquake. The epicenter of the earthquake was located near Mineral, Virginia. The effects of the earthquake well felt all along the east coast, even reaching up to some portions of Canada. Earthquakes are rare on the east coast and therefore came as a sudden shock for most residents living in the states that were affected.
If an earthquake wasn't enough, mother nature came again in the form of a hurricane. This hurricane has been one of the BIGGEST hurricanes to have impacted a large portion of an area at one given time in decades. Residents of South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, Maryland, DC, Philadelphia, Delaware, Rhode Island, New York, Massachusetts, New Jersey, & some other states were impacted with this hurricane. Eleven people along the east coast lost their lives to mother nature. Extensive damage was done to portions of each state especially places along the coast.
For residents along the east coast this has been one crazy and unusual week. It has all finally come to an end in most places now, but flooding still remains a concern in some areas. Power outages are still a concern for certain places as well. High winds also remain a concern in some areas too.
Please keep those families in our thoughts and prayers that have lost a loved one in the mist of this raging storm. No one would want to die in this unfortunate way.
I would also like to thank the members of India Forums and other family/friends for showing deep concern for us along the east coast. Your prayers have helped us get out of this mess. Most of us have survived this week and it wouldn't have been possible without all the prayers you have given to us.
Please stay safe everyone on the east coast.
