Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai: Meher's attempt to steal the spotlight falls flat as Armaan stands by Abhira

In tonight's Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai episode, Kaveri opens up to Abhira, saying that no one else can truly understand how long she has waited for this special day. With a light-hearted tone, she asks Abhira what she plans to gift Maira and even jokes about whether she intends to bring stars from the sky for her. Abhira smiles and replies that Maira already has stars shining in her life. She shares that she has personally baked a cake for Maira and has also arranged a magic show to make the day memorable. Abhira hesitantly asks if Maira will enjoy it, and Kaveri reassures her with confidence that Maira will love every bit of it.

Krish’s Sudden Change in Behaviour Raises Questions

Soon after, Krish calls both Abhira and Armaan to join the cake-cutting ceremony. Tanya notices a sudden shift in Krish's behaviour and questions him about it. Krish casually admits that he is simply trying to impress Armaan. Abhira arrives with the cake she baked for Maira, but just as Maira is about to cut it, Meher enters with the Mittals, abruptly stealing the moment. Meher brings along an extravagant cake and multiple gifts for Maira. In the chaos, Maira unknowingly ends up damaging Abhira's homemade cake. Abhira is left stunned upon seeing Meher and the Mittals standing there.

Vani Becomes Abhira’s Silent Support System

Maira is instantly drawn towards the grand cake, admiring it with excitement, while Abhira silently bends down to collect the ruined pieces of her cake. Vani notices Abhira's pain, steps in to help her, and gently wipes away her tears. Meanwhile, Armaan questions Meher about the need for such an elaborate cake and so many presents. Madhav also confronts Meher, asking why she brought another cake when all arrangements were already in place. Meher defends herself, saying that Armaan had not allowed her to plan Maira's birthday, which is why she decided to do something on her own.

Later, Armaan searches for Abhira. When they finally speak, Abhira questions him about how the Mittals were invited. Armaan explains that Meher came uninvited and that he had no idea she would bring another cake. Abhira pours her heart out, expressing how deeply hurt she felt when everyone was busy admiring Meher's cake and ignored the one she had made with love. She adds that Vani was the only person who noticed her pain. Armaan then asks why Abhira harbours so much anger towards Meher and Shriram. Abhira is on the verge of revealing the truth about the Mittals, but chooses to hold back.

Maira Searches for Abhira

Meher approaches Abhira and asks if she is upset, but Abhira avoids engaging with her. She instead shields Vani from Meher's presence and asks Vani to stay inside her room, making it clear that she is not being punished. Abhira explains that with so many guests around, Vani might feel uncomfortable if questioned, and it is better for her to rest inside.

The Poddars then ask Maira to proceed with the cake cutting. Maira, however, keeps looking around for both Abhira and Armaan. Kaveri notices Abhira's silent suffering and questions Mittal about the need to bring an extra cake. Mittal responds that Meher wanted to surprise Maira and insists that Maira seems happy. Despite this, Maira continues to search for Abhira, clearly missing her presence.

Meher Left Seething as Abhira, Armaan and Maira Reunite

Meher later asks Armaan if Abhira is upset because of her. Armaan decides to call Abhira, but Meher insists that she should speak to her herself. Abhira finally returns and says that she is not so hurt that she would stay away from Maira's birthday. She gently asks Maira to cut the cake. Maira lovingly feeds cake to both Abhira and Armaan, but Armaan refuses to eat it. When Maira asks him the reason, Armaan brings forward Abhira's cake and tells her that her mother had baked it with immense love, but it went unnoticed because of the bigger, fancier cake. Realising her mistake, Maira feeds both Abhira and Armaan the homemade cake, restoring warmth to the moment.

Meher watches this emotional reunion from a distance, burning with anger as she sees Armaan, Abhira, and Maira sharing a heartfelt family moment. Elsewhere, Krish thinks to himself that Abhira and Armaan should enjoy this happiness while it lasts, hinting that their joy may soon be short-lived.
