well i don't want to argue but i think i have to clear some facts..from the first day the show was following history very well
there were 2 theories about cgm's birth...one was that cgm was illegitimate son of mahapadmananda (dhanananda's father) and his maid servant mura...
but maximum historians considered the other theory is much reliable according to which cgm was son of kshatriya clan mourya and born and brought up in pippalivan...his father died in battle field when he was in mother's womb...then he was brought up by cowhers and peacock tamers..then he was bought by a shikari to look after his cattle
historian's consider cgm's birth year 340 b.c...(its the most reliable birth year of him)...when he met chanakya he was only a kid not more than 10-11...chanakya was impressed by his ambitions and other talents and bought him from the cowherds and took him to takshashila...alex reached india on 327 b.c..when cgm was 13...alex crossed indus signed treaty with ambhik..then defeated the small hill kingdoms and then fought battle with king puru on the bank of jhilum on 326 b.c...then cgm was only 14...some accounts says that chanakya sent cgm to alex army..so that he can learn greek war strategy ..with the help of which they can attack on dhanananda's magadh..but alex when came to know abt cgm and his ambition ordered to imprison him and cgm escaped...after that alex wanted to go further but his army was too tired and they opposed him..in that case some account says greek army were afraid of dhanananda's huge army...and chanakya also tried to spread rumor...but the main cause of alex's return was his army's tiredness..and on 325 b.c finally alex left india.by defeating some clans of malwa...cgm was only 15 then...
alex died on 323 b.c in babylon...cgm was 17 then...he started war against the greek governors of india..he entered into greek army weekened their power and killed greek governors...and thus with the indian soldiers of greek army he made his own army and started attacking dhananda
on 321-320 b.c he conquered magadh ,killed dhananda and becme king...
after that he continued his battle against selucas who came back again to attack india...and finally on 305 b.c cgm defeated selucas and married his daughter as per treaty...
and about cgm's personal life sources says he had 7 wives..but only 2 wife's name are mentioned in every book they are his first wife durdhara who was mother of vindusara...and helena who was daughter of selucas...in some books some names are found who were incomplete love interest of cgm like chitra , kalyani etc...
even jawaharlal neheru 's book there was mention of a love triangle of cgm,dhananda and a girl..but the girl or princess was married to dhananda not cgm...and in that story cgm was step brother of dhananda so they had not much difference in age.
now all these are historical facts its not written by me...search on google or consult some history books you would get to know these..and some other sources books and historical novels focused on his personal lives..
and some members of cgm forum are well versed with history..so they must have problem with the show...because fictions are accepted only where informations are not available...not there where fiction is changing history..but anyways different persons has different views ..so we won't agree in common conclusion..so let's stop this discussion..my request

I appreciate ur views and yes these are all historical facts but as per that date of Cm's birth is concerned it is in 346BC, u can find the calculation from the book called History of India by Romilla Thapar, as per the record Cm ascended the throne at the age of 25 in the year 321BC and ruled till 297 BC and from that book u will get to know that he was considered as illegitimate child of Dhananada and not his father as per some theories
