yup totally agree, in the theaters in India everyone goes insane! But in other parts of the world whenever I see indian movies, there's like barely any cheering. :( It sucks, but it's so much fun watching movies in theaters in India!

I went to India for the first time a month ago, and it was my big wish to see a bollywood movie in Mumbai! I was really curious how the indian audience behaves and reacts to these movies and wooow, I went to see Singham and it was really great! Their comments and whistles just makes it so much more fun to watch a movie!

I love watching movies in the theatre... the whole experience of watching it with a hall full of people is something else... I have even whistled in a theatre with my group of friends back in college...we were a crazy bunch!!!😆...
when I was a kid...the electricity would go off in the theatre sometime or the reel would break...and the crowds would go mad with the whistling and hooting...and this little town that we were in we used to get these amazing bun- samosa in the cinema hall whose taste was like to die for... 😛

great topic.

One film I throughly enjoyed was Gadar. I went to India and we went for a wedding. instead we skipped the wedding and went to gosee Gadar. and OMG. this was the best thing ever. Esp when Sunny Deol yells and every starts clapping

another film was Kaho Na Pyar Hain. when Amisha patel enters the screen every one started whistling and clapping and making lots of noise. the same experience isn't over here.
