love all of your in depth analysis about Maan and Geet's characters.. it kind of fills in all the blanks that the CVS can't show or put forth in a 30 min episode..

There is something that has been nagging me since the ML started... why do you guys think the CVS have not yet made Maan show some curiosity about his marriage to Geet.. they haven't yet shown him asking how he ended up marrying someone he just knew for a short time, and who she was and how they paths crossed?...

Is it because Maan was bogged down with this unexpected relationship that he felt was being pushed on him? Now that he is been given breathing room by Geet will he be showing some curiosity and try to explore those questions??

What is your take guys... would love to read your different ideas... thnx

Yes, that is what Maan Singh Khuana would have felt- that asking about his past would leave him open to others.

SO he gets busy re-establishing who's the boss in the place.

Then, also, his brain would not allow him to dwell too much on the matter. For someone who's a control freak like him, thinking of the lost time would unsettles and disturb him greatly.

now, coming to the Man after he gets to knwo about Geet.

Hes told that she is his wife. Hes flabbergasted. he cant even stand the mere presence of the girl, and here hes married to her! he finds nothing in common or even remotely significant in that rustic, ill-educated woman.

He starts off with despising her. He still is in a state of disbelief over his marriage. and thus all the temper tantrums. In this case, like hell will he want to know more about them- him and her. It would only madden him further.

Now , theers a distinct change in him after the Teej fiasco. it was after dev's little monologue that he actually realizes that she not at fault.

Even then , after trying so much , he cannot accept her. Moreover his family is forcing him into believing in the marriage.

This suffocates him, frustrates him to the core, .. he cannot just grow feelings for her out of practice or trying. And he cannot follow with pretending either.

This tells us again , why he wouldnt want to know about his past. His one dialogue today- that all this is just a story to him. Even if he sits down and watches their video of marriage, the Maan in that video would be an absolute stranger to him.

their would be simply no connection.Itw oudl be equal to listening to the story from others.

Besides, once again , the same love story over and over again , the same expectations, the knowledge that 'he had substantially changed in her love' would make any foray into the past impossible.

There love is going day after day. They are pleasure to watch. Geet can't come to an end.

I think ninand has said everything...not much to add to it except that now he's got that load off his chest after that hear-to-heart talk with Geet, he's in a better place and mind set to think about the marriage without any outside pressure.

I think we'll catch him thinking about Geet more often, take note of her, not just of her looks but as a person.May be try to relate to her as an individual and in the course of that attempt, try to wonder and hopefully understand the qualities that Geet possesses which would have attracted him to her before the ML.

Geet will quite likely insist that both Dev and Dadima leave Maan alone and not pressure him to accept her.

Once he becomes his own man, his relationship with Geet is bound to change and flower.

I agree with ninand and pippa and think it is quite natural that he hasn't asked about his relationship with her, as from the beginning Dev and Daadi put him in a position of weakness every time they bring Geet up, as they insist on a relationship he can't remember. And MSK hates being made to feel weak and out of control. Geet put him back in a place of strength and control yesterday, where she knows he is most comfortable, and I think that will make a huge difference to him now. Like pippa said, he will operate as his own man and things can go from there.

Also to add one thing, I got the feeling that before he heard Geet voice her own feelings and not be vouched for by either Dev or Daadima, he didn't take the whole situation very seriously at all. I think this is why he was so ready to believe her guilty of all the things NT framed her for. In his current state, it just makes more sense that Geet is a gold-digger, or a conniving girl out to ruin his career. If this turned out to be true, he could throw her out of the house and his life would go back to normal so he was desperate for her to be someone he could hate. It is only when he heard the hope coming from her mouth (when she was telling Daadi he was changing) that he really understood their relationship was a very real thing to her and started acting likewise.

Lovely analysis by you guys! I just love this kind of thought provoking analysis and this takes me to the older days when each action by the leads used to compel some of the articulate viewers to write their views. The beauty and the charm of the old episodes are coming back! (I really don't know how any sane person can think of ending such beautiful serial)
