Mota Bha expresses regret to Paan baa about misunderstanding Gulaal and doesn't know how to face her. Kunal's father comes there and angrily asks why they are manipulating his son, Kunal and Talli are getting married on their own. Talli comes there and Mota Bha asks her if that is correct, Talli says yes, Sudha takes her inside angrily while Kesar tries to stop her.

Reva asks Gulaal if she can eat with her, both eat together, Reva apologizes to Gulaal for misunderstanding her and says that Kesar was right about Gulaal. She asks if they can forget and move on, she worries about both Kesar and Gulaal since she has always seen them together, for some reason she feels as if Gulaal is incomplete without Kesar and he without her, she worries how he must be coping without Gulaal. Gulaal says he must be fine.

Kesar is lying on his bed and flashbacks to good times with Gulaal where she asks for the flowers, his taking photos, and her breaking the deeyarvattu. Hearing the last part Kesar gets up with a jerk and tries to call Gulaal but is confused. Gulaal also picks up the phone to call him but changes her mind when her phone rings, its Kesar. She runs expectantly towards the phone, there is so much awkwardness between them. She is happy to hear his voice and tears up, he doesn't know what to say, then says that Sudha is being very strict with Talli because they found out about her marriage, Gulaal asks him not to worry, they will marry Tall to Kunal the next day. Kesar says he will take care of bringing Talli, then both pause not knowing what to say, Kesar gets annoyed with himself and is a tad embarrassed, and says he will bring Talli and hangs up.

Talli is sitting gloomy in her room when Kesar unlocks it and asks her to come fast before anyone catches them. He takes her downstairs but Mota Bha is sitting there. Talli hides behind Kesar. Kesar walks towards Mota Bha and tells him that Talli and Kunal are very lucky, both love each other and want to spend the rest of their lives together, he should think about those where one is willing but the other isn't, why should they listen to other people or because of anger separate these two, when a beautiful relationship ends it is not easy for anyone, there is so much pain. Kesar leaves the decision to Mota Bha whether Talli should go with him. For the first time Mota Bha realizes the deep pain that Kesar is going through, Mota Bha and Paan Baa have been so broken after Vasant's death that they have been negligent parents to Kesar. Time to make it up to him.

Gulaal is at the temple getting everything ready, Kunal impatiently waits for Kesar Talli. She asks him not to worry, Kesar will definitely get Talli, Kunal says if he doesn't then he himself will have to go there, Gulaal tells him that once Kesar says he will do something he abides by it, Kunal asks if she has a lot of trust in Kesar, she says more than anyone else, he says where there is so much trust love can... Gulaal's smile fades and she goes back to work. I LOVE this modern stuff they are showing, the parents here are old fashioned but these modern kids have a way of talking that is very unapologetic, Kunal was not apologetic at all looking at Gulaal's expression, its as if he wants her to realize Kesar's love. Both complete preparations and are waiting, when Kesar arrives there with Talli. Gulaal gets Talli ready.

Sudha asks Mota Bha why he let Talli leave, this is the worst phase of their lives, now their family will get more insulted. Mota Bha says the cause of ruining this family's reputation is not the kids but the older ones, he doesn't want to regret about Talli and Kunal like he is now for Gulaal. When Gulaal was breaking the deeyarvattu she kept looking at Mota Bha for assurance that he wants her back in the house, had he given her that assurance instead of breaking the deeyarvattu...

Talli and Kunal get married, Gulaal and Kesar look on remembering their married relationship, Kesar looks so heartbroken, he thought he was in this marriage with Gulaal but now its all over. Gulaal also looks numb like she is missing something. Its time to take the rounds of the fire. While the priest explains the reason for the rounds Gulaal has flashbacks. Round 1, husband should take care of the wife and her health. Gulaal flashbacks to the time she was ill after jumping in the river after Talli and Kesar brought her milk and took care of her. Round 2, whatever the husband earns, he will discuss with his wife before spending and saving. Gulaal thinks of Kesar's declaration that he will look for a job, without taking a single penny from anyone he will take care of both. Round 3, both husband and wife will work towards having a family. Gulaal thinks of Saru's leaving everything in her will to Kesar and Gulaal's child and her last wish to see the child once. Round 4, the wife is in the front of the husband, it is a promise that in everything, including praying and rituals, husband and wife will be together and support each other. Kesar is sad and has tears in his eyes, he clearly went through all the rituals with Gulaal as his wife by his side, he has truly done his bit as her husband. Gulaal thinks of the time when Kesar says he will leave the house with his wife Gulaal forever, if they cannot respect his wife he cannot let her stay there because his honor lies with his wife's, he trusts her completely so he will support his wife no matter what. Gulaal has tears and is totally numb with emotion, its as if she realizes that Kesar was her husband, rightfully, since he fulfilled every single duty of one. Its as if she realizes that she herself saw him that way. This scene is so important, Gulaal kept thinking of Kesar the kid who she could not marry, but now that has completely shattered and she will see him as a husband, a grown-up who is truly committed to her.

Precap: Mota Bha tearfully asks Gulaal to come back just once, everyone misses her a lot, Gulaal says she too misses them but she doesn't want to go, and its probably better that way. Mota Bha says he doesn't even have any right over her now to insist, Gulaal feels bad. I am glad the story is written this way - Gulaal will go back not for the family but for Kesar, and maybe this time she doesn't have to live like the previous wife Gulaal, but can be completely free.
