yah simran ...also if u chk Shammi Ji's tweet last year he tweeted that " guess who came to meet me ...Babita, dabbu , kareena , saif and reema

and he was very much tweeting abt krishma's new born son's news also shared his name via tweet like reema jain also did

so i dont believe this problem talks 😛

lol she met him once in the hospital because he was sick. And just because Shammi ji says they are close doesn't mean it's true.

People believe what they want to believe.

he was sick since past 7-8 years yaar ...he was on dialysis , it was not like he got sick only for that time and they came to meet ...

I thought he was admitted to the hospital. He can't be in the hospital for 7-8 years now can he. His condition got worse and he was admitted to the hospital. That's when bebo, saif, and bebo's aunt went to see him.

Mumbai, Dec 30 : Bollywood brothers Shammi Kapoor and Shashi Kapoor, aged 79 and 72 respectively, have been hospitalised for the past few days.

While Shammi, who suffers from kidney ailments, is recuperating at Breach Candy Hospital, Shashi has been admitted at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Andheri, reports DNA.

Sources at both hospitals said the actors were suffering from age-related ailments and were stable as of now. However, they refused to divulge other details about the Kapoors' conditions. Industry sources reveal that Shashi Kapoor was admitted on December 12 in a critical condition.

Amitabh Bachchan, who visited both at the respective hospitals recently, blogged and tweeted about his visits. "Went to visit Shashi Kapoor in hospital and pained to see him in such condition... prayers for him please...," Big B tweeted on Saturday.

Bachchan has also mentioned Shammi's ill health on his blog recently. "I have been to visit Shammi Kapoor in hospital. He is unwell, in a different hospital. He was his most charming self as always and joked and laughed over his condition."

Many followers of Bachchan were confused about both Shammi and Shashi being in hospital at the same time. To clear the air, Big B tweeted about the issue again. "Just visited Shammi Kapoor Ji in hospital. Despite his condition, he is full of life joy and fun. A true star... Get well soon. Many wondering if I have made a typo error about Shammi Ji and Shashi Ji... no I have not... they are both in hospital," Bachchan tweeted.

I agree that it's her personal life and she knows it best, but going to a vacation at this time is clearly not acceptable.

Saw this and had to comment.

Honestly, she should have gone to the funeral. I know when my uncle passed away the whole family (immediate and extended) wasn't allowed to celebrate anything for a few months (some rituals) so I find it a bit insensitive she went ahead skipped the funeral to celebrate Saif's birthday. Bad move on her part. Even if she was never close to him...just go--for many reasons. The most important being: the media likes to make mountains out of mole hills...maybe she wanted to uphold her professional responsibilities and Saif's b-day falling in that time span gives the media something to play with. Since, I haven't seen any celebration pics...I like to give her the benefit of the doubt. But when the whole industry turns up for the funeral, it looks bad as a "Kapoor" to not be there.

Which brings me to my next point...I know Desu said she likes to flash her surname...but why didn't the sisters just use the maternal surname...whatever babita's last name was. Or disown the Kapoor surname if the Kapoors didn't do shit for them...Being just Kareena instead of Kareena KAPOOR is fine, na?! So it seems wrong and selfish to use the surname for professionally motivated reasons or use it to benefit oneself and not live up to the responsibilities of being a Kapoor. I mean so what if you don't get along...you obviously see no problem in using the surname and gloating about it.

But even then that's my POV. My uncle that passed away...was never close to him, but sometimes you do things not for yourself, but for others. Sometimes, you gotta do things for family no matter how dysfunctional and messed up and crazy ppl in a family are. And personally, I don't think you should ever skip a funeral unless there's a dire emergency: promotions for a film doesn't seem that dire to me...maybe if she was a doctor who had to perform a life or death surgery, but promotion...I personally don't get it.

However Kareena has a different philosophy on life...so to each their own! Since ppl mourn in different ways, if Kareena needed space to accept this loss... then I can see her going to London and trying to divert her mind away from it. But I find it extremely idiotic, insensitive and immature to call her "characterless". Ppl need to stop using such extreme language. Since we're not in her shoes let's learn to RESPECTFULLY disagree...the name calling, insulting, and bashing is just pathetic. maybe she didn't celebrate his b-day, maybe there's something more than meets the eye...must we always be so quick to jump on celebs...let's wait and see what Kareena or Saif say about it when the media questions them, which I think they def will.
