Pavitra Rishta sisters bid adieu to Prarthana

Eyes welled up, warm hugs exchanged and pictures taken as the team of Zee TV's Pavitra Rishta bid farewell to actress Prarthana Behere who played the role of Archana's little sister Vaishali on the show.

Due to her own personal commitments, Prarthana has had to leave the immensely successful Balaji soap. After Prarthana's last take, actors Ankita Lokhande and Priya Marathe dissolved into tears. However they had pre-planned a grand farewell for Prarthana. So, a while later, out came the cake and snacks! Each member of the cast shared their most memorable favorite memories of working with Prarthana and of course she was deeply moved. However, it was not ALL rona dhona as many of her fellow actors had gotten her going away gifts as well!

"Playing the roles of sisters for three years is sure to bring any actor closer to her screen siblings. Ankita, Priya and I are a lot like real sisters today!" Said Prarthana. "The three of us share a close bond off-screen as well. While you will find us up to mischief on the sets during shoots, we also plan and step out for girlie shopping sprees and lunches, sometimes visit spas and parlors together to de-stress. While I am sad about having to leave the show, the cast and crew have made my last day a memorable one"

Sources reveal that actor Madhumita Das will be stepping in to fill in the shoes left behind by Prarthana Behere. She will be seen on the show from August 12 onwards. We wish both these talented young ladies all the very best in their new endeavours.
