Really nice post.. Love that girl for her strength of emotions.. i have ranted endlessly on her in the past so will reserve my praises on her.. and in keeping with your post.. wld dedicate one of my fave newer songs.. for the extreme subtlety of emotions.. wrt to an incomprehensible/ ambiguity in a relationship.. once I saw all that in VD.. still do but mostly from Ds side.. coz the VV I have loved in the last few months seems to be in coma😆

bringing attention to the lines.. apt for VD..

Exactly Ds sentiments abt her V-ji.. and if I may add in some ways V feels the same way.. it had developed to that point..

Why thank U dear & i likewise share that luv towards her, regardless watz thrown her way shez (more/less) cool as a cucumber~~infact i cud see the classic saying on her, "When life throws u lemons, make lemonade!

...since ive not seen the show since itz beginning im only seeing the recent now part of Vaibevji's character. Nice lines highlighted n watta perfect song chosen cuz also in this movie Abhay Deol wz initially in luv w sum other chic n slowly realizes his luv towards his all-along "dost" Ayesha Takia rite?...hopefully same takes place here too na:)

oh well.. all I can say is you missed the golden period of VD.. since marriage.. lets just say the Vaibhav you are seeing now.. is NOTHING like the man Devki is in love with.. yes his sense of accountability is still intact in piece.. i recommend you catch up from 7th april.. esp VVs move on the first night.. giving her a pre-signed divorce papers.. such that she has the complete freedom to walk out when she wants..

and 24th may onwards... Just looking at Ds feelings now is not justifying their equation... there is more than legit reasons why D is in love with the man.. he is at his lowest right now.. he has been an extremely fair and practical man..

And sadly enough if you just caught on MB.. you have not seen the REAL HERO of the show.. I.M.Virani.. our very own Heathcliff.. the best character on the show.. and in a long time to come.. just in the layers he has.. sigh.. I wish Shiv Subramaniam is back soon.. this show isn't half as good without him and without IMV-Devki scene

😆 you'll see tons of those posts.. if you go back in time.. the golden period of MB was IMV-Chandraprabha's love story.. and the posts pertaining those.. the show is in its worst phase now actually.. so we keep ourselves entertained by our discussions.. and for the songs.. thts our THING.. we dedicate songs to situations and characters.. our very own forum antakshari. you are more than welcome to join it..and our epi discussion thread which is nothing short of a battleground of convictions😆

agree abt d, she is one character i really admire,

her never say die spirit is awesome, she had a heartbreak, she dealt with it in minutes , came back to reality, wow

she is one character who has suffered a lot but still she is the one who is the most happy out there, she finds happiness in small small things

@Sonali~~Ohk Firstly, this link above just admirably show'd me more of how genuinely intelligent n grounded Devki is...aka scene w/ her insight of reading btwn the lines of that particular page n drawing inspiration from it and later scene showing her decision to celebrate w/ her Mom & Aunt? or something..

mmm i see! I caught about a month of this show so not seen much on Vaibhavji, or his Dad...a few scenes i do recall with powerful presence n dialogues..., i def. didnt see the one u put above--so a bittersweet relation btwn him & Devkie eh ...par yeah i cud easily see him perhaps as the very backbone of this show...

...As 4 Vaibhavji, gud u enlightened me cuz i assumed she fell in love w/ him from that trip...but from wat ur saying, i think those earlier encounters n happenings add depth n substance to this equation 4sure...bec itz not typical amongst men of our culture~~for btwn the external n internal, they usually fail to see, comprehend, n appreciate a womanz free spirit n her individuality...

200% agree w/ U, Her +ve spirit is the key to truly internal..eternal Success n Happiness...she can fight any external battle cuz she's conquered her inner ones...

yaa wat can is ay about Devki...more im seeing, more im drawn as i can relate to and appreciate her understanding most...like ex. her recent dream (which usually portray one's inner subconscious)...did u note how (in Devki's "imaginative interaction" w Vaibhavji after him having read her) she Did respectfully acknowledge & answer his question of concern that realistically n likely may arise w/in him--->"How come you wrote if u were so sure of refusal"

So, to me this exchange of Q-A scene showed that even though she didn't technically go buy that card for him, still when given by Baa she did not just impulsively agree to it due her intense feelings 4 him...infact, she did so bec she wanted 2 display her feelingz n this shows that Devki takes responsibility of her every action to the best of her capability...with much eloquence n grace i must add...

Simran.. after the deal she wants to be by her grandfather to celebrate her dead mom's birth anniversary (presumed dead.. she is in reality alive as a sadhvi.. coz she wanted to let go of the world she was living in.. )her dead MOM.. who in fact is the core of this show.. the love of Ishwarya aka IMV.. the woman he loved and wanted to build a life with.. but wasn't given a chance.. hence his whole life and other people's related to it bears testimony of this very injustice and his vengeance.. btw her mom Chandraprabha's part was played by none other than the talented Deepti Naval.. If you find Devki impressive.. you havent scratched the surface of Charulata Virani.. now that is an IMPECCABLY strong and grounded character... a woman living with her emptiness all life with PRIDE..and Dignity.. its almost poetic..

yes what you have seen of VD is just the tip.. the picnic was the family enforcing them to be romantic.. and Devki's acknowledgement of it.. VV has been a great partner to her iMO strictly.. had told her from the begining what to expect from the alliance and has till recently stuck to it to the T.. he has been a mentor.. a guide a friend to her.. she really is an amateur in some ways.. and that starkly showed with VV in the beginning..he gave her lofty idealism the balance.. yet not in a condescending manner.. and has respected her free-spirit in the domain of their domestic and business aspiration vs hers... its a sticky balance.. but he kept it rather mature.. gosh I loved that VV.. I am hoping to see him back... I am telling you.. IMV and him have both in a way given her the freedom albeit cleverly😉

the USP of this show is every character has a spine.. sometimes thts a bane as they all assume power😆 but tbh the convictions on every character is rather strong..

in line with what you said.. about Ds dream.. here goes a topic I had made last week and a lot was said on Devki and her strength..
