Arjun did not reveal his plan to Jay also, Jay only knew that Arjun is here to hit Sanchit's business badly. He knew that Arjun hated the Ahluwalia's and he knew the reason behind it and he totally supported it. He tried questioning Arjun that night about his plans , Arjun's cold response did not encourage him further. Jay took leave from the hotel suite. It was best to leave arjun alone when he is dwelling in the past.
Sitting in a dark room, staring at the shimmering Ice cube in the drink Arjun was reliving the past. 12 years ago everything seemed to be right, in Shimla, His beautiful past , his childhood filled with hopes and dreams. His small world. His confident and powerful dad D K Singhania, his compassionate and loving mother Savitha Singhania, his nave sister Raashi, his caring daadi Teji. They all adored him the same way he adored them. His dad was the teacher of his life lessons, confidence, power and intelligence were three requistes, according to him, in life to rule and empower anyone. Tit for Tat and eye for an eye were his lessons too. Don't let someone walk over you and always be alert about the people around you. He was a man of principles too and loved his wife and family. Arjun's mother was a different kind of teacher, have faith in love, treat everyone with kindness, family comes first indulge in good doing, be gentle were her frequent lessons to her kids. She and his daadi were similar. He had inherited both the strong qualities of his parents, yet he found his dad's terms of life more challenging. He grew up with utmost confidence and intelligence, at age 14 he was considered an elite student of the school and he was 2 year ahead of his peers in academics. His sister doted on him, she was the most precious person in his life.
There was another close friend of his dad, Rudra Pratap Singh, He would council dad sometimes on legal matters, his family was quite affluent but were different on principles from their's. His son jignesh and daughter natasha were his and raashi's age respectively, but Arjun was not that friendly with either of them. His main focus would be studies, and spending time with his dad.
His mother was cute sometimes, she wanted him to teach him how to use email, internet etc. He taught her the basics of using a computer, he helped her in the kitchen sometimes, he loved his mother deeply, even though he thought he was old enough to take care of himself, she treated her 14 year old son as a little kid. She was ready with whatever he needs even before he asked. Even the sibling fights were happy moments for them, they were memories to cherish. No one at school dared to tease raashi, and about arjun they knew he cannot be even touched. He was difficult for them to understand. But his family knew him, his tender heart his love and dedication towards them. His dad couldnot be more proud. He knew his growing business is in safe hands and one day Arjun will make it into a big company. He did not like being teased with any girl even for fun, his family still teased him 'now u r just young, tomorrow when u get married u will dance to your wife's tunes' his daadi would add 'aise ladki aani chahiye jo isko badal sake' 'why should I change' he would ask definatly 'so it will be easy to deal with you' his sister would remark 'I am fine' he would get angry 'see see, this is what we are saying' his mother would support him 'he is fine, he is my most adorable arjun, there is no one like him' he would make a face at his sister.
It was on a fateful rainy day, all this got shattered. They were travelling from Shimla to Delhi , by Car. Them and Rudra Pratap's family both were travelling in separate Cars to attend a wedding. Daadi stayed back. On the way they stopped at a dhaba. While they were all busy ordering and eating, a group of young guys gathered together , talking loudly, littering, smoking and drinking causing nuisance.
Arjun's dad who was irritated by all this went upto them, being the straight forward and frank person he was, he directly told the young men to behave responsibly. It was still light , they seem to be in driving and druken driving was hazardous. He told them not to litter or he will see that the owner made them clean up by themselves before leaving. The young men did not like this. One of them said 'yeh Sanchit, yeh kya ho raha hai bhai, you are supposed to be prince of the world and see prince ko kaise dhamki de raha hai uncle'. At this a guy who must be in his 20's came forward and lighting a match in front of his dad , smoked and left the smoke on his face. Disgusted his dad came back, and he had to stop Arjun who was almost half way there closing his fist. They all started again after eating. Arjun's dad told the owner to not encourage such men because they will continue to do that again elsewhere and will never learn. The young men heard this too.
Rudra Pratap who had gone to talk over phone came back and saw everyone ready to leave and all of them walked to the cars. At the last minute raashi wanted to sleep all by herself in the back seat, so arjun agreed to come with rudra's family. Both the cars started following each other.
After travelling a distance the road got lonely, it started to rain heavily they were slowing down, suddenly a jeep with a group of young men zoomed past yelling and making sound, before Arjun could realise what happened they overtook rudra's car and hit his dad's car from behind. Arjun yelled out loud lowered the window almost put all of his body out, rudra and his family were shocked. The young men did not leave, 'lecture dene mein bada maja aaya tha na, ab dedo lecture driving par bhi, we may be drunk but see we are still in control' said sanchit loudly and again hit his dad's car from the side.
The car lost control and hit the tree before toppling over and fell in the slope of the ditch. The jeep stopped and the drunk men came out to see the damage. Arjun was already near the car, trying to help out his parents and sister, rudra was on the other side trying to open the door. Sanchit's spoke again standing at a distance 'wooh koi bhi ho, usse kehna humse panga lena ka anjaam yahi hai' Arjun lost his mind at that very second he almost pounced on sanchit, for a 14 yr old he was strongly built, He closed his fist and punched him hard on the face, making a big scratch on his face with his ring. Sanchit's friends grabbed him and pushed him aside and they all left in the jeep , arjun noted the number plate in his mind and rushed back to the car. His dad did not show any signs of breathing, so did his sister, his mother was struggling to breathe, blood and glass all over them. He repeatedly called out to them. He carefully pulled his sister out of the back seat, she lay there lifeless, just 10yrs old, if he was there with her he would have put his body as shelter and protected her. Why did he chose another car? He should be gone with them. The rain made it worse.
He and rudra pulled his dad out, a powerful man lying lifeless. Arjun's mentor, guide and inspiration, gone. Tears rolled down continuously when he saw his dad lying there. His mother made a slight movement giving him lot of hopes, Rudra had stopped some passers by and enquired about a hospital, soon word spread and ambulance arrived, they took them to the hospital, his dad and sister were pronounced dead and his mother critical. He waited 10 long hours in the same position to get word about his mother, finally she was able to speak , he went in and took her hand, she tried to smile but could not, tears rolled down her eyes to see her son helpless, she never wanted to see him like that, but she was glad he was allright, she could talk with great diffiulty 'apne khayal rakhna' ..'khoob padhayi karna'...'kisise ladna mat'...'dad ki baat sunna'... 'apna behan aur daadi ka khayal rakhna' at this arjun cried bitterly , his mother did not know they were both dead , he said 'I will, and I will take care of you too' she smiled as if she knew she wont make it, she tried to wipe his tears 'arr...jjj..uuu...nnn', he was scared, he did not want to loose her too 'I...love '. Ar'' and her hand lost grip of his hand, she had breathed her last. He could not believe after 10 hours of having hope his mother also could die before completing her sentence 'I love u arjun'. He finished her sentence 'I love u too mom' he said. Suddenly he lost all will to live, he was devastated but he couldnot even cry. Rudra took care of rest of the stuff, while arjun filed a complaint on the young men in the jeep. They took the bodies back to shimla, his daadi fainted , she could not overcome the grief of losing her son before her and went into a silent phase for a long time. After the cermonies were done, Arjun did not pour their ashes in the ganges, he preserved them, he vowed he will do it when they get justice.
The police case had begun, he came to know the guy who was driving and hit the car was Sanchit Ahluwalia, based in bombay, his dad was a business man but in shimla, Ahulwalia's poweful contact snubbed the case, Sanchit and his dad came to meet him, he saw sudhir ahluwalia then, they threatned that they will turn the case against him, he was not scared, and they did, they used the best lawyers and proved the brakes of his dad's car were failed, and it was also proved in the investigation that they were failed, the screw from the rod under the brake had almost come off and they proved that was the reason for it, they produced couple of false witness, arjun rudra his wife jignesh natasha all testified but they were all proved wrong, they said it must be because they did not see properly in the heavy rain or they were building up stories to tarnish Ahluwalia image, to defame them. 14 year old Arjun and even Rudra were no match for Ahluwalia's power. After winning the case Sanchit came to arjun and said 'you kid, what did you think you could do to me? Remember this face. This is Sanchit, and I am an Ahluwalia, we win always, don't try to challenge us again in your life, I will make you loose ur peace of mind and will make sure you go on streets' he smirked and proudly left from that place. Arjun did not respond, he had lost faith in justice the moment the judgement was given. He could not give his parents and sister the judgement they deserved, he had failed them. But he should make it right, he should make sure their souls rest in peace, or it is a waste of him even being alive.
That was the force that has kept arjun alive and get along with his life, the constant burning rage in his heart, to counter those words, he may be small now, but he will grow, he will grow so powerful that all of bombay put together cannot stand in front of him. He let rudra guide him to some extent, he knew rudra from the times of his dad, his dad did not trust anyone and rudra was not an exception, arjun let rudra believe that he trusted him but also made sure rudra knows he cannot overpower him.
As time went by everyone had forgotten the incident. Arjun's building rage was known only to him. Dadi had recovered she tried to control arjun's growing rage but could not. He became a loner, did not socialise, he had very few acquaintances and they too were not that close, only his school and college buddy jay was close to him and knew about arjun's past. He did not get tempted by woman, they were off limits. Hid daadi worried if he will ever get married or have kids. At 26 he was the most eligible bachelor. Rudra had an intention of wanting natasha to be his wife, he even mentioned it to daadi, she said she would ask arjun, but arjun directly told rudra, he was not marrying type nor has he any interest in girls. He has a different purpose in life and he will live only for that purpose. Even rudra did not know what that purpose was.
Arjun came back to present. He walked out to the balcony and gazed at the dark night. Finally he has found the perfect way to wipe the smirk out of Sanchit's face, he will make his parents rest in peace. When he was innocent they battered him, now it is his turn, he will defame them, dethrone them, bankrupt them. After 12 years time had come and finally the ashes can meet the holy ganges. There is no turning back or no regrets, he will do whatever it takes.
