The first 'Indian' Governer Genera of India was surprisingly the last Governer General of India ... who was Chakravarti Raja Gopalachari ... if not taken the Indian factor into consideration the first governer General of 'Independent' India was Lord Mountbatten who happened to be the last viceroy of India.
