Hi friends am back again with a post on Maan Singh Khurrana's not so pleasant behaviour.Actually as I was watching the show and listening to Geet's narration of what he had said to Geet after he got her off the bus I wanted to make a post on his attitude, but thought it would be taken as negativity towards MSK.
My first reaction was...Maan now this is the limit or should I say u have crossed all limits...Thee thing which triggered off this reaction was the look on Geet's face as she saw him in the bus. There was such an adoring look and her eyes were so full of hope that at last her Maan had remembered her and come to get her, that when he said all those things to her and burst her bubble of happiness I was truly very angry at him.
But something held me back from making the post and now I know what it was. I was thinking with my heart not with my mind. Later as I sat and thought over his attitude to Geet I felt there was some justification in his attitude. If we go back in time to the beginning of the show, he bumped into Geet a number of times and each time although he saved her he was pretty rude to her also. It was only when he came upon her in the jungle where Brij's goons were about to kill her that he had the first stirring of pity for her. And yes it began with him feeling sorry for her. Then that pity turned to understanding, to appreciation, to attraction and much later to love. A personality like MSK takes a long time to fall in love but when he does his love knows no limits.
In the present scenario, imagine his thought process when a girl whom he does not know at all, is thrust on to him not only by his family members, but also by his office staff (read Pinky and Adi here), and he is most brutally informed that she is his wife. A person with MSK's attitude towards life and women is asked to accept an unknown girl as his wife!!!!! That's the height of audacity according to him.So how will the great Mr. MSK react in such a situation? Obviously his resentment at her being forced on to him will come out in the form of hatred. And MSK has never thought before letting his feelings out. He has always spoken what has been in his mind, irrespective of how his words affect or hurt the other person. It is this superior attitude of his that needs to be changed.
Now looking at the scenario from Geet's side, she loves him more than life itself. After going through great turmoil at a tender age of 18 she found true love and accepted it as her Babaji's gift to her. She remembers him as her husband and thinks that she can make him remember everything by repeating her past behaviour in front of him. Although she had bumped into him frequently in HP days and later worked for him in Delhi, yet she does not know what type of person he was before that. All she knows is he is a man with a tough exterior but a heart of gold. Moreover he is her husband so she does not have compunctions in behaving like a wife. This behaviour of Geet's again irks Maan. And we got the conference room scene with MSK being extremely rude to Geet in front of all the staff.
I now pose my million dollar question...what happens now?????
Maan has agreed to let her stay in KM and also share his room (I think that's what i read somewhere) but only for Dadi's sake. And Geet has finally been brought to her senses and realised that Maan literally hates her, can't stand the sight of her, is not willing tom accept she is his wife, but allows her to stay in Km as his wife only for appearances sake and that too because of his beloved Dadi.Don't u think we are going back in time where Dadi pretended to suffer from BP problems so that Geet would not leave and Maneet could be brought closer together? Think back to the outhouse sequences, the Dargha sequence and even Pari's sequence. the only way the track can progress with some success in changing MSK's attitude to Geet and making him come even slightly closer to her and in the process to rekindle his desires and feelings for her is by Dadi's intervention and Geet adopting a touch-me-not attitude. the more she tries to come closer to Maan the more he will not only pull away but even misunderstand her intentions.Remember that for Maan it was the ethereal quality of Geet that he was drawn to. She bemused him, and he was attracted to her because he could not fathom her out. So don't u all think that this is the one way to make him realise that she does mean something to him? Or at least for him to see some flashes from his/their past?
